So, of all the Ork clans, the Snakebite's philosophy is my favorite: the old ways of raiding and pillaging and battle instead of the obsession with speed or looting or money. The only problem is, I have so many models already assembled that aren't converted up using say, warhammer fantasy bits. What I want to know is: exactly how backwards are snakebites, really? I know they aren't feral orks, but do they not use vehicles at all? Is the rare battlewagon seen, just festooned with trophies and pelts and blood? What is forbidden, and what is common? Any help would be really appreciated.

Snakebite Orks have different degrees of fundamentality. Some of them reject any form of technology altogether and refuse to pass beyond the 'feral ork' stage, but others are somewhat more moderate in their beliefs.
I don't think they use any fancy tech like vehicles or forcefields though. The Snakebites use squiqs and other creatures instead of vehicles.
However, I don't think mixing in a few crude vehicles and cannons would be much of a problem. Just keep it primitive. (Maybe have vehicles be pulled by animals or something like that?)

Edit: According to this picture, the Snake Bites do at least sometimes use Battlewagons

First-edition snakebites had cybernetic boars, so I wouldn't exactly call them primitive. They are traditionalists and have few mekboys, but orks have been using machinery for (at least) tens of thousands of years so things like battlewagons, shootas and even bionics are perfectly acceptable to traditional orks.

I'd say the only units really off-limits to snakebites would be stormboys, deffkoptas and jets.
