So far it's proving that coordinating close combat takedowns of isolated zombies to keep the noise (and therefore spawns) down while looting and covering objectives is the way to go as opposed to shooting them up. Shooting brings more spawns and you can run out of bullets. Not all scenarios will allow for such tactics (certain objectives or high initial spawn rates etc) but for generics it seems like the way to go.
Does that sound right or should I do some tweaking? I mean you watch the walking dead and after a couple seasons people tend to walk up behind zombies and stab then in the head fajy effectively and shooting guns is a last resort...which seems right for survival/adventure/whatever. Shooting zombies by the score sounds better left to existing games like zombicide.
Yeah?

Sounds like a good way of going about it, not many games incorporate stealth elements to a great extent (notable exception being Infinity's Camo stuff, but even that seems more of a one-trick pony than a huge tactical element). Limited ammo is also a good one, though to balance it I would add some kind of resupply opportunity depending on scenarios and how long you envision them lasting.

The east I've been playing Deadzone zombie mode (either rightly or wrongly) is that close combat doesn't trigger more zombie movement, but the gun firing does.

I like to think of eventually running out of bullets as kind of a built in shot clock. If you try to play it fast and loose there's a good chance you will get into deep crap. You can loot ammo and loaded guns in all kinds of containers but its fairly random, and even looting an innocuous crate has a slight chance of spawning a zombie.
Right now it seems like a lot of cautious movement and coordinated attacks to stay quiet and save bullets, and then a frantic shoot out as even one shot brings the heat pretty fast so you've got little option but to keep shooting the heavier spawns.
I need to test with some melee specialists . so far my painted collection doesn't have any and I'm thinking a pack of those might be almost hands down better at surviving. If that's the case I may need to make it harder for people to hurt zombies in cc or something. We'll see, plays stupidly fast so I can playtest pretty rapidly.

Having a long sit down with a cider and the 7th ed 40K rules.
Unfortunately I've had to stop because I got the A5 edition and it's incredibly small text. Not fun combined with drinky.

Played two games of WH40K, with my Tau army.
First game against DA force, with my opponent showing supremacy on the board.
Second game against the Tyranids, with a draw (as we had to stop the game at the end of turn 3)
It was really good. Tomorrow (or today ) I play again.

I had an amazing game with the Infinity RPG. It was our second session. Me and a group of fellow authors (well, one's a game designer and the other's Air Force EOD) meet once a month. It used to be Legend of the Five Rings and then Iron Kingdoms. In this session we're escaping from an alien Invasion of the planet Paradiso. A secret agent type said that if we rescued a certain scientist, we'd get a ride off the planet.
But the Combined Army arrived and started shooting the place up. We fought them off using drone controlled exploding cars and such. And my space nun hacker character shot a grenade out of the sky. But then the Cascudo arrived, a giant bug with a big gun. It started blowing the place up. (scenery came apart) We couldn't even scratch the paint. But then our ship arrived and we had to make it to the ship before the giant alien bug monster killed us. A Very cool game.

Been seeing how many infinity terrain projects I have at the moment and hopefully complete them soonâ„¢ Got MDF stuff from Microarts, Terrakami and CNC miniaturescenery to finish assembling and seal/prime. Also trying to find wax paper to help with painted stuff not sticking when drying. Seems its no longer around. Make more papercraft crates while I have some foam to re-enforce them. Finish my planterbox terrain. Found some 45g containers that make decent giant pots. Stick more doors and windows on my giftbox buildings and paint the roofs grey to add contrast to the buildings. Also got an idea for large trees using a combination of a wiretree frame, hot glued plastic aquarium plant for leaves and watered down pva tissue/paper towel bark. Having trouble keeping the leaves attached on my test piece so not entirely sold on the idea yet.

I hate making my own terrain. If I can buy a set of crates, I'll buy a set of crates (and I have, MAS tech crates). Infinity has got a massive amount of available terrain from official partners to the huge amount of MDF companies that sprung up making generic sci fi terrain.

I like making my own terrain and painting it too but... I've only so much time and I'm not terribly precise. If I only get to paint some make it models and I'll buy some scenery... Helooo battle systems.

Yeah, I know the crates have alot of options on the market in mdf. Im actually kicking myself for not getting some of terrakami's when I nabbed the trains when the currency was better earlier in the year. Didnt realise their freight trains had raised bumps that interlocked with their crates and I like the design of their crates with the built in ladders.
Sadly tho, Im not ordering from the otherside of the world again after the treatment the post gave the trains. It was a miracle no parts were lost or broken from what remained of the padded envelope. What was left only covered about 60% of the stack of mdf, the rest has been torn away and was filthy as if it had been punted around the floor.
For the paper crate, Im mainly after some of the mototronica remote crates from the maglev pdf file because I like the look of those. I have someone with access to free printing so I am hoping to make use of it.

Today I'm dreaming about finishing painting my like 7000 points of skaven lol
I'm having some mad struggles with getting back into painting. I want to but I keep making excuses "oh I'm too busy" "oh I have to work" "oh I gotta do blah blah blah"
I don't have that much more painting to get my 2500 point army fully painted (maybe 40 clanrats, 30 stormvermin, and another doomwheels or abomination....I have lots of models haha)

Setting up an army list for LOTR soon. All Rohan Royal Guard vs All Uruk-Hai Berserkers.
We made a bet, and if I lose, I'm not allowed to use a Rohan army for the next 4 games (an army that I use almost every game).
If I win however, I can bore her to death by lecturing her about the statistics of winning with either list (sort of) by hypothesis testing.

If I were a betting man, my money would be on the Uruks, The RG will do some early damage with throwing spears, but after the fight starts in earnest then the Uruks are on course for victory.
Unless it's all mounted Royal Guard, in which case they're the clear winners, kiting the uruks and charging at the opportune moment.
