Has anybody had the chance to see how these two weapons perform in 7th?

From what I understand the CML isnt so tasty an option anymore due to the fact that you can no longer get a lucky roll and blow up a tank anymore (unless it is open topped) so launcing two krak shots at a tank from far away (at the expense of the rest of your squad's stormbolters) will only reduce it to 1HP and other things like weapon destroyed or immobilized, at best. Deepstriking behind a Leman Russ and rolling a couple of 6s (whether this is on your stormbolter or on the krak shots of your CML) also aint gonna make it go boom anymore besides the reduction of HP.

The Assault Cannon on the other hand has remained relatively the same - of course, it too cannot explode a tank on a non-rending result anymore, and when it rends, the chance of exploding a tank still went down by 16% because you need 6s now and no longer 5s.

OTOH the CML did get a boost when it comes to using its two frag blasts against infantry as you can target anyone underneath it - very advantageous on multi-level ruins.

With a price difference of 5 points, who do you think comes out on top?

Of course the CML always has the double range bonus, but if you want to use it together with the Stormbolter you get to keep, youre at Assault Cannon range anyway, and besides, most people deepstrike their terminators so longer range wont really matter (also that long range renders the stormbolters of the rest of your squad useless)

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

Range is usually not an issue as stated so it really depends on the target.

Krak missles are honestly only better againgst armor 12/13 than an assault cannon, but they are better anti-horde

Ehh its really a toss up. Do you have an extra spare 5 points for the missles, use em.

I like termies for anti-troop + Transport capabilities.
