What do you guys think? ...is it worth the time/effort to magnetize the Tentaclid "missiles" on the under-side of the Hive Crone? ...or just glue them and keep track mentally?

With a verity of different weapons vs the cost of building all the combos it's something you should do.

Big fan of magnetising here so I'd definitely recommend it. It's not as important (to me) as increasing versatility such as for weapon swaps though, so you'd weigh it up against the risk of losing them. If you look after your models that shouldn't be a problem so I'd say go for it to improve the immersion - seeing single use things like missiles removed form the model is great.

You don't actually need to magnetize them to get them to stick to the wings, the little fleshy mounts they come with will actually hold them in place quite well with friction alone once both are painted.

And if you have a model that loses weapons or uses upa one shot thing it can be easy way to keep track rather than having to think how to mark it, just take it off.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Yes, mag them.

Then the other player does not have to ask "how many shots does that thing have? How many are left?".

I magnetized mine to be either a harpy or a crone by magging the arms, tentaclids and head.

(I picked the body parts I thought looked best).
