I've had these minis for a while now but I have actually took good photos of them until yesterday. It seems a waste that i spent a lot of time making them and I haven't showed it to people. I've been making a mercenary army from orphans of various factions, trained by Haqqislam.

Will be posting more soon as fast as I can edit them. Cheers!

Jawdrop. Wow, these are stunning. The free hand on the odalisque is crazy and awesome, and your paintjob on that Hawwa makes me want to get one even more now.

Wow, it is so nice to finally get to see that odalisque finished. You disappeared from the Infinity forum before you posted the results. Lovely work. Just lovely.

Show us more, of course.

Thanks guys, If you have the time, go check my other thread too. Although these are for Fantasy/Historical miniatures and I've painted them tabletop quality so I can churn them up faster (there's still hunderds of them to go!).

Okay, this next Odalisque is the first one I painted. I still haven't gone overboard with freehand here yet so every now and then I get the itch to repaint her.... but my heart just can't take it.

Ghulam Medic

I don't like the old or new medic model very much, so here's mine. I'm also aware that it shouldn't be a cross for a Haqq medic, but hey.

Excellent work man.

I really like the color choices. I'm always happy when people break the 'stock color' trend.

Your faces are just impeccable. I either need smaller brushes or I need to stop drinking when I paint. Maybe one day... one day... *shakes fist*

Thanks. With the faces, I really take an insane amount of time doing them (and most of the time I'm still unsatisfied once I start taking photos and noticing the mistakes or brush strokes!). usually I do them first and if I screw up, it's back to the stripping container for you.

And I'm not kidding when I say I had to read up on makeup contouring and highlighting for painting faces: http://www.my-virtual-makeover.com/contouring.html

Because sometimes the sculpt doesn't have a pretty face (like the Securitate o my Dakka Paiting Challenge entry) so you have to work with using paint colors to soften or sharpen certain features. Also doubles as something to talk about with girlfriend/SO lol.

Pretty amazing, i've got years before i'll see that kind of brush control, if. I just have to leave fancy stuff like this to you pros and stick to my battle-ready dipping procedures.

As soon as I saw that head, I wanted to do exactly what you did.

You pulled it off a lot better than I could though.

And you're right about the Ghulam, these (newer) ones have a lot of character, and a lot of fun poses. I hammered mine out finally after leaving them unpainted for the bigger meaner units, and now I'm looking really forward to picking up the new Specialists box of em' when it drops.

Spoiler:

Though I admit I mixed a couple Halqa in there too. Most people can't tell the difference. (The difference is they totally have helmets! Though the redhead is wearing hers on her belt.)

Yeah, I was also thinking of buying me some Halqas for the exact same purpose.

I'm also excited for the upcoming Ghulam box set! Hoping they have nice sculpts.
