Wanted to do one of these for some time.














Have the basic shape and size more or less the way I want it so no for some fine detailing.

I'm finally happy with a bayonet configuration which fits both practicality, duel purpose and looks the part.

As I'm heading away for a week I will leave you with what I have done so far. when I get back I will start on the ammo feed belt.

Lol, its a 54mm marine I think. Forgeworld made them for years, not sure if they are still being produced.

They still make them they are around the £100 mark, of course the original is only armed with a bolter.

Here's another chopper (silverfox ) I have also completed one side of the belt in rivets.

Bad news! I am not one bit happy with the feed belt rivets set up I made a cosmic balls up when I did the little grooves they totally ruined the effect of the rivets so I'm filling everything in and re doing them.

What about doing it more like the FW event Heavy Bolter dude? No rivets to be had.
