The thunder claw gives my captain the same number of thunder hammer attacks as a company master with thunder hammer and shield eternal, obviously he doesn't have the same survivability, but he is significantly cheaper, my chapter tactics are the Black Templars because i like their fluff and their ability to take crusader squads, the goal I was going for was going for was a chapter strength space marine army at 1500 points as their is 100 bodys not including my Captain, the Astra Militarum allows me to field cheap Space Marine Wannabes (as the inquisition wouldn't care if the black templars had a few thousand elite yet still guardsmen boosting their ranks) and ratlings are the best snipers the Imperium have outside of the vindicare assassins, any advice would be greatly appreciated to make my list more competitive

Your list is rather vague. Do you have any special/heavy weapons in the tacts/scouts/crusaders/CCS/vets???

I don't think bolter-fest is gonna cut it. Bodies are great but there are plenty of things that you have nothing to punch through.

If you wanna load up on bodies you can keep the BT CT and load up on Crusader squads. That way you can add some specials and heavies in your squads.

Well i was thinking that my captain along with bike squad could handle most of the anti-armour and combat squad them if necessary to stop them from getting focus fired off the table turn 1 and with so much strength 4 av 10 is dead any way and anyone except the ratlings have krak grenades for av 12 and under

IMO I find your lack of AP2 and anti tank disturbing... foot sloging marines aren't going to last very long... maybe drop one squad and toss in some plasma or meltas or at least a transport or to...
