On my IPad (and only my IPad) there is a kroot emoticon in the center of the logo bar at the top and the banner ad isn't showing.
I can still see the ads on the view all ads page and I don't have a problem with this it's just weird.

It is a bug in safari on iOS which randomly replaces images with other images in the cache. Rebooting your ipad sorts it out, but it is pretty rare. I think the latest version of iOS has fixed it as well, so update if you have not done so already.

Ah, ok. First gen iPad glitching things. I've encountered the scrambled/displaying cached pictures before this just seemed more consistent. I know the adds are necicary to keep dakka online and there disappearing on a common device would be bad.
