So been playing for a while not put a list together on here so here goes:

Dagger x2

munition failsafe
fire control
proton torpedo

Tala squadron x2
munitions failsafe
ion pulse missile

this is to go up against an unknown imp list and help? Only ship i don't have are a-wings.

I feel like only one torpedo on the B's? And maybe not failsafes on the Z's? Whats your goal?

They were just to use up points tbh i felt like the protons were to much as well and fail safe for my shocking rolling. I know i will go up against the new clocking ship and my opponent likes his fast ships so ion to slow him down.

The biggest problem with this list is you've taken a typical BBXX list and downgraded the two x-wings to z-95s, but you haven't gained all that much from those points you freed up. If you're going to make the sacrifice of taking z-95s you either need to add them at more than a 1:1 ratio with the ships you're replacing, or use those points to do something truly awesome that you can't otherwise do. Taking some one-shot weapons doesn't really accomplish that goal. Here's a much better list:

Dagger, FCS, ion cannon

Still two ion weapons, but you can keep using them every turn (and with FCS boosting them!) instead of just once, and you've got a lot more damage potential when you aren't taking ion shots.

The issue with the failsafes is that the b-wings already have two one-shot weapons. So even if you don't hit you won't see any benefit from the failsafes until at least the third turn of shooting (and remember that your b-wings are probably the first target), and keeping a missile isn't absolutely essential on a ship that has a good primary weapon and FCS. The z-95s, on the other hand, have a bad primary weapon and are borderline useless if their ion missiles don't do anything, and are much less likely to hit with their one shot since they don't have the FCS boost. If you're going to spend points on failsafes the z-95s need them a lot more than the b-wings.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Lose some of the gear and run BBZZZ. 2 Dagger, 2 Tala, and Blout with ion or assault missiles missiles (for the auto-hit) and FCS on the B-wings. Deadly hammer and anvil style.

I'd try to get at least 2 assault missiles on that group...3 if your going to face a swarm.
As soon as your in range 3 let the missiles go. As long as you get 1 hit the other nearby ships will be taking an auto hit also. Your missiles alone may take out 1 or 2 Ties...but with only 1 hull left on a bunch more, your other ships will clean up quick.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

I'd try Etahn with a bunch of Headhunters.

It's like a small swarm, but more effective as it can take hits.
