A bunker with void shields comes to 130. A combo I'm going to try once I build mine is 3 Bsides inside, and 3 on top. The ones on top will be safe from TFCs+Wyverns until the shields go; the bsides inside will be safe until the bunker itself goes.

On the cheap, you can take a naked comms relay now for 20p. If you play enclaves like me, it's essential.

Rule #1 is Look Cool.

What about Aegis lines for pulse bomb?

I've had tremendous success running a Bastion with 3 Broadsides inside. Being able to hide from their normal counters for at least a couple turns in invaluable, and most of my opponents choose to ignore it rather than use the firepower to deal with it, which let's them operate unimpeded for turn after turn. As long as you've got another threat to push them into the 36" range then you're golden.

I usually run it with a Comms Relay, and an Ethereal inside for an increased 12" bubble; in most lists I can fit a Sniper Drone Team with two extra Fireside Marksmen on top who get dome great cover saves due to Stealth, and take advantage of the Ethereal's extra shots. It's a lot of points poured into one structure, but it goes miles for area control. Plant a couple Fire Warrior squads in cover within 12" and pile threats from the rest of your list on the other side of the board to force the opponents toward your Bastion.

Vengeance battery or redoubt with double battle-cannons. Either one gives you an av14 all around platform with a cheap battlecannon. They also can be placed in the middle of roads for your tanks to fly over while you get cursed by angry guardsman tankers.

They can be...I don't play Tau, but it seems to me, that Hunting Marker Lights is "beat Tau 101" so making them more survivable is a good plan. Tau often tend to castle up anyway, so where's the harm of adding a few walls? I would think that a unit of Pathfinders behind a Aegis would be a fine addition to a list.

I like to use Bunker. It's so cheap and can hold almost an entire Broadside unit (including drones), putting pathfinders/snipers on the top

I've used Aegis line with Pathfinders in a game about 2 months ago. It works great. Yum Yum Markerlights

Skyshield landng pad is excellent with Tau. Nothing bypasses the invulnerable save anymore. You can park a lot of models on top of it and give cover to riptides and skyrays behind it (the three columns are quite wide).
I usually use it with Broadsides and a pathfinder team up top.

Void sheilds now that the rule has been faq'd so that blasts and templates only do one hit to the shield, are going to be nice for static Tau, especially Pathfinders.
