Must have been a quick event, but how do you pick a winner when both players immediately surrender?

Well, at least it lasted longer than the US national tournament where no-one turned up because neither side had any oil.

Anyway, interesting how many different lists their were. Whisper and Echo turn up a fair bit, but the Tie Swarm is clearly still very strong, and interesting to see the number of YT's. A YT with support seems to be the way to go at the moment for rebels.

Let's keep the jingoism down, folks.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I kinda wanna try that Airen Cracken Headhunter/X-wing psuedo-swarm.

Just remember folks. Panic. Panic all the time. It's the only way to survive, other than just being mindful, of course-but geez, that's so friggin' boring. - Aegis Grimm

Looks like TIE swarm actually showed up at your event, they all stayed home for us. The prevalence of YTs isn't terribly surprising as people overcompensate for the Phantom, but swarms should sort that out fairly quickly.

Kinda disappointing to see nothing but YT, Phantom and swarm in the top 8, hopefully things settle out and the fun stuff rises back up.

Love the big event, a whole day of X-Wing is a blast!

I think once Rebel Aces and Wave 5 hits, you'll start to see more variation again, or at least more variation on a theme. A-Wings should be seeing more play, and I'd hope that the options the Decimator brings to the table will at least make the decision between it or a Phantom a tough one (as it should be).

I think it's down to just overcompensation for Phantoms. I think once folks get more experience playing them they'll realize that Phantoms are actually fairly predictable and far from invincible.

And yeah, once Aces and Wave 5 hit things will change again. And if folks insist on running big hull ships, Rexler will be having a field day.

No doubt, at least when it comes to Whisper. I've got a few games against her under my belt now, and I'm starting to be able to predict the likely movement, same with the non named ones. Echo I just don't have enough experience against yet. It is still made far easier having a turret, either built in or for an upgrade though, and I don't expect that to change much. Next practice game I'm going to try it without either a Y+Ion, or Falcon and see what I can pull out.
