Hell Dakkanauts! Long time lurker finally joining the fray when I spotted another newbie was also looking to do Middle Eastern flesh tones.

Rather than pass a fellow by, I decided it was time to finally jump in!

I've been back in the 40k hobby (had a fling in my junior high years during the 2nd ed) now that I have the focus and patience (and money) to do it right! Been slowly working on a custom Guard regiment, the 112th Hattusa Dervishes for around a year now, using a combination of Cadian and Tallarn models. When I say slowly I mean I only recently have around 1,000 pts in table ready shape

Cheers all, and may your dice screw you over slightly less than is statistically likely!

Welcome to Dakka! Perhaps you can post a pic of your army in the forum.

Astra Militarum
Iron Warriors Army: Enyo Company
Enyo (Greek: Ενυώ, English translation: "warlike" in Greek mythology; Roman: Bellona), was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer in particular representing the two as the same goddess. As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Thanks all, it's great to be here! Or at least, great to be actually participating and not lurking anymore

Yeah I hope to post up some pics of my army so far once I get a chance to finish a few things, most pressingly a new PCS to replace an early attempt that I'm unhappy with now that I have more painting experience
