Well, I wanted to make my own Cannoness, so I got my saw and putty out and here she is!
1: I know the wild red hair is a bit outside what you see Sisters of Battle in, but it was fun to sculpt and paint.
2: I did not use any metallic paints on this mini. I have been experimenting with using less and less metallic paints on my minis for some time now, but this is my first attempt at full NNM.
3: The pictures are just taken quickly with my Iphone on my dresser. No special lighting. Oh my minis look so much better in person!
4: She started as a Sister Superior with a chain sword and plasma pistol, but as you can see I have done some work on her.

wow i really like her! And don't think the hair is too crazy, mine sometimes gets really wavy like that without me doing anything to it (my mom has curly hair and my dad has straight hair) so she could just be one of those!

The conversion is clean and to someone who doesn't know the Sisters range, they'd think it came out of the blister that way. The NMM on the armor is very good. I think the NMM gold could do with a bit more contrast. Maybe the highest highlight needs to be brighter? Right now it just sorta looks yellow.

I think the head might be a bit out of scale or maybe it's just the hair. I do prefer the shorter, more severe hairstyles on the original minis, but she's the Canoness so no one can tell her to cut her hair if she doesn't want to

Awesome conversion and paint job!

Somehow, I get the feeling that the head was painted by someone else than the rest of the body, but I have completely no idea why

Great conversion and a good paint job.

She just seems a bit too cute / happy!
Not quite the look of a heretic smiter.

As far as the NNM gold I can see that. Gold seems a lot harder than base metal.

Comparing the head to guardsmen and marines. I think this head is OK, but the stock head is kinda small and that is what we are used to. Just my theory.

I painted both, but I painted the mini once, decided I did not like how I did the hair and head so I removed the head and hair, re-positioned the head, sculpted new hair and painted them again. So there is something to what you feel.

Maybe smiting makes her happy? Ya you are not the first to say that about my sisters of battle army.

Very nice work!

I too have a substantial SoB army and plan to expand on it by sculpting and casting my own figs. Hope to start that project sometime this fal when the kids are back in school.

Awesome. The hair are very nice!
