I am looking for an alternate model for an ogryn or sentinel for kill team sized games. The look I am aiming for is a mechanized suit piloted by a human that could be dropped in a Pod or by a parachute/jet system. Insaniak has done some fantastic work with a scout body using a terminator body as the basis of an exosuit. I am just not sure if I will be able to match that scratch building. Archibald Jack had a fantastic idea of using AT43 Lieutenant G. Epstone as the base, but it looks like it may stick out some in the 40k universe.

Has anyone else seen a suitable proxy model along these lines?

Thank you dakka!

Pig iron do a rather nice wardroid that could be a counts as ogryn. Alternatively there is the forgeworld drop sentinel itself, or a mixture of sentinel and dreadnought parts like I used for my terranwing walkers.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Hurr! Ogryn Bone 'Ead!

I would suggest looking at the Puppets War Rippers. They are armored suits that fit on a 40mm base. The detail is good and you get 5 of them:

Another one that would fit the bill and is even more detailed (perfect for kill team where individual models shine) is the Studio McVey Utility carapace:

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

These are all fantastic ideas. I knew of these models but had not considered them for some reason. Thank you for the suggestions.

I was not considering the War droid until i saw another dakkaite seen here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/307240.page
The addition of some basic 40k bits really brought the model into the 40k universe.

Any other thoughts dakka?
