Legendary's Thomas Tull kicked off the studio's Hall H panel with a little taste of the followup to Godzilla.

After introducing a video message from director Gareth Edwards, a teaser featuring stock historical footage and a voiceover from JFK revealed that there are more threats out there. The Comic-Con crowd went wild as three creature names flashed on screen, with grainy, old school footage of the Godzilla classics flashing on screen, along with their names: Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

Not sure, honestly, how they'll "fit" all three of those monsters along with Godzilla himself into one movie.... IMO, they seemed to have a bit of trouble with "three" at the same time.

Didn't Rodan and Mothra end up teaming with Godzilla in later movies?

Very much getting a Spider-man 3 feeling from it; by having so many villains in one movie, you fail to give any of them good characterization/screentime.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

Yeah, Mothra and/or Rodan would be alright, but Ghidora seems too much too soon.

God, I want to see a jazz club scene with a "cool" Godzilla in it.

That's what you're talking about....right?

I wholly agree with the Spiderman 3 trap.

Three monsters has been done before, and it was awesome.

There are a few others with more than three, so I'm hopeful.

So is this going to be a remake of Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster? because that's the monster line up from that film. King Ghidorah vs Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan. Those 3 only just beat King Ghidorah too. However I will only support a remake of that film on the condition that they keep the absolutely insane assassination plot for the human characters.

You know why?

Same reason King Kong wins.

I mean, on paper Godzilla should win.....right?
The big G has teeth, claws, tail attack and a ranged nuclear powered breath attack.
So why does King Kong win?

Doesn't mater how big and bad of a dragon you are, you back the feth off when a transit bus sized piece of stinky brown is flung at your face.

That's right King Kong has the Iflingpoo attack.

Today's audiences would demand that level of realism and I don't think Hollywood is up to meeting that demand.

There is also the huge size disparity between Godzilla and King Kong you have to work out.

It worked with the older iterations of Godzilla because they were closer in size, but yeah... you'd have to have a "planet of the apes" colony of King Kong in order to take on Godzilla at his current size.

In the older one they still had to come up with an excuse to make King Kong grow, as even at that time he was still far smaller than Godzilla ever was. The original Godzilla was 50 meters, or 164 feet, tall whereas King Kong was 24 feet tall.

Eh, considering the group ended up making a Frankenstein's Monster fighting giant beasts, I doubt most cared.
