That is the neatest red I've seen in a long, long time! How'd you do it?

1400 points of EW/MW Italians (FoW)
2200 points of SoB and Inquisition (40K)
1000 points of orks (40K)
Just starting out with Ultramarines (30K)
Four 1000-2500 point forces for WHFB (RIP)
One orc team (Blood Bowl)

Lustful Cultist of Slaanesh

In your Rear.

I think both these models would demand more metal gilding either a silver or a brass colour, more personal taste though very solid work and good highlights.

I like the red too. And interesting armour color choice.

It started as a "color wheel" highlighting experiment when I painted Rackham's Capt. Kelian Durak. This time I did it a little differently, since I wanted dark, brooding colors (listened to a lot of Lego Batman's "Darkness" song)....

Basecoated in Reaper Dark Elf Skin, mid-tone 50/50 mix Dark Elf Flesh & Vallejo Scarlet Red (awesome color for this effect BTW), successive highlighting layers by adding more and more SR to the mix. Then a dark purple wash, then more highlight layers until the final one of pure SR.
