So kill teams is a fun way for people to play this game without spending hundreds.

Has anyone ever thought about doing something similar with named characters? Could be interesting to have Ku'Gath Fateweaver and Skabrand go up against some of the Imperium's finest in a skirmish setting.

We had a game in 6th where you brought any character you wanted, no point limit, and had to survive a zombie horde and try to kill Typhus.

Problem was Typhus was several times harder to kill than an IK, the horde was T6+ with FNP 4+ and kept getting worse.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

Used to do an arena of death using a zone mortalis board, that was pretty fun. It got a bit more RPGie as time went on with it evolving into taking non named characters and purchasing upgrades the more kills you got.

We did a 4 way free for all where each army had 2k points, but could only bring special characters, 1 man units, and independent characters. (or monsters in the case of tyranids) Each kill was worth a vp, and the center of the board was worth a vp at the end of each round to whomever had the most characters within 12".

Dark Eldar tried to spam hex rifle haemonculi, along with some archons and the DE specials.

Tyranids, of course, had the swarm lord and a bunch of tyrants, fexes, and such.

Space wolves had the characters and a spam of lone wolves.

I ran a friends necrons to have imhotekh and a bunch of destroyer lords with MSS and war scythes. (Yeah, we had the ahead of time agreement that we were trying to be as cheesy as possible.)

Ended up winning. The last major combat was swarm lord vs 3 destroyer lords. He passed ALL THREE MSS rolls, and killed two lords. The following round, he failed the last MSS and offed himself. Imhotekh's lightning storm lasted like the whole game, and was brilliant. I think it snagged me like 10 vp by itself.
