It's a Droppod that carries Dreadnoughts.
You can find the rules on page 160 of Imperial Armour: Volume 2 - second edition.

Problem is that we cannot tell you the rules nor can we tell you to download them.
I understand what you are talking about, you don't want to buy a useless book.. But there is nothing we are allowed to do for you.
The best I can tell you is: "Yes and no", but that isn't helping you a lot, is it?

EDIT: tell you what man literally type in the question what does a luscious drop pod do in Google, you will find it, I did. No use buying some dumb book for one thing, I agree.

Yes they could.
Then GW's legal team could shut this site down. Sound like a good plan?

I'll tell him.
You can charge out of a Lucius Drop Pod, however, for full rules on how this is achieved you would need IA2 2nd ed.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Doesn't sound to bad. Break. No reason to be a Rule #1 on Dakka is Be Polite. Could of did what I did, find a way to find it n tell the guy, that isn't illegal. Like I stated above. Google. Its an amazing thing.
Edit: thank you happyjew

I guess I just don't see the problem. There are rules discussions all the time. Anyhow, the reason I even wanted to know was to decide if that would make Ashmantle worth taking instead of him just dying when he deep strikes. And if so I would go right ahead and purchase both models. Therefore supporting the company.
So it allows you to assault. But after discussing this with a few of my friends it was brought up that apparently units who infiltrate or arrive from deep striking, or from reserve in general cannot assault the turn they show up. Is this true? Because that would nullify the point of having the drop pod, other than keeping him inside it for a turn and popping smoke.

Exactly this. You use it like you use a rhino for a Tac squad. 2nd level armour.
And yes, there are rules discussions here all the time, but the rules for a unit are never given out. We deal in segments.

Midnight - the pod also confers a bonus to cover for units that disembark from it or that LOS passes over, so disembarking and popping smoke makes him very survivable.
Dakka didnt write the copyright laws, please dont complain about the resultant policy on here.

Rules for units are frequently given out, go look in that thread talking about Orks replacing their sluggas with shootas for specific points values. Everything revolving around switching weapons around in a squad of Boyz is present in that thread, you could near well field the unit without a codex just on a couple of posts.
Answering a simple yes-or-no question is not what will get the forum shut down, it's silly to pretend it will. Copy > pasting the rules so that people can entirely forego books is what will get legal teams on Dakka's collective butts, simply telling a random guy that "Yes, you can assault out of this" or "No, you cannot assault out of it" will not.

The rules are given out when there is genuine discussion needed, as in the rules are unclear
The rules are not given out when someone is simply asking for them, as they do not own a copy of them.
See the difference? Under copyright law one is Fair Use, the other is not.

It's not a simple yes or no question. Please don't pretend that it is. He was literally asking for copy/pasting the rules.

It has really weird wording. It says you can assault out of the pod but not the turn you arrive from deep strike. It gives some type of bonus cover save when it lands so i guess that is so you can stay inside it get the cover save then assault the next turn.

I still don't see a problem here. I asked what bonuses it gives. Then rephrased to, can you assault out of it? I wasn't asking for the armor value, points cost, hull points, war gear, or any special rules other than it was an assault vehicle. I found out about staying inside it for a turn by myself. So to me, wondering about ONE aspect of a model with multiple functions does not call for a rules copy/paste. Automatically Appended Next Post: Thank you to anyone who answered me though.

People tend to get caught up with the whole "Read the book" thing. It is partly justified because GW could come by see rules posted, and issue a take down order. As the cost of fighting the order would be too bothersome for the host, we try not to give straight rules when asked.
The other part of telling people to look at the book, is an opponent is more likely to agree if you can show exactly where the rule is, instead of saying "Someone on dakkadakka said so."
As it is, giving some information, such as "They can charge out of it, but there are some restrictions." gives the OP what he is looking for, but points out that he'll need the book for the full rules.
A while back, one of the mods posted something about answering questions, but I forget who or when.
