Today, I built a box of Wolf Guard Terminators, and realised that I have now built at least one of each Terminator kit GW produces (although not the FW ones... One day). They are, to my mind, all among the best looking infantry kits GW has produced. The question, though, is which one is best.

Aesthetically, I have to go for the Wolf Guard. For whatever reason, the poses (particularly the legs) in that kit look much more active and dynamic than the others, and seem to me to make the Terminator Armour look very aggressive, dangerous and hulking, as it should be.

From a technical standpoint, I'd pick the GKT kit. The sheer number of weapon options and combinations, along with the posabilty, is just staggering, what with the halberds, falchions and swords all working on the same arms and bodies.

So, what's your thoughts on the best Terminator kit (for any reason) made by GW?

I have built the Tactical Termies and and 3 sets of the GK Termies. The GKT are pretty awesome in terms of sheer amount of stuff you can get, but it can be frustrating. The arms for 2 handed grips can be fiddly and occassionally you discover the great poses you wanted arn't possible without cutting the model to ribbons. The back banners on Justicars and Paladins come off really easy and are a pain in the ass. Another thing that's a pain is thinking up 5 different patterns for the tilt plates and then matching it to the heraldry on the right shoulder.

I loved the Tactical termies though.

I reckon the Deathwing Knights have it in the bag...So much detail, robes and unique shields...What's not to love?

My wolf guard terminators probably look the best but only because I was rubbish at posing models when I first started out and the assault terminators I made way back when have the most awkward poses.

So yeah I vote wolfguard.

There is an elegant simplicity to the normal tactical terminators though. Have power fist will travel.
