I've been finding many of the answers to my
40k queries here and finally decided to join.
I used to collect
40k and
LOTR about 10 years ago and amassed a modest army of Eldar along side a few Tau and 'nids but lost interest. Last summer I had a moment of nostalgia and after drooling over new models like the Cadre Fireblade grabbed my single squad of firewarriors and commander and headed down to my local
GW where the guy there was kind enough to run through the basics with me.
Although (no doubt like many of you) my dad doesn't approve of his 22 year old son playing with little space men, I'm hooked and have since added a second box of firewarriors, a box of pathfinders, a hammerhead and a cadre fireblade to my small tau force and I'm planning on purchasing a riptide when some work comes my way.
Although my army list is set for 500pts i usually end up piling every upgrade I can on my commander and playing 1000pts and have had moderate success so far.
I also managed to get my hands on the stormclaw box recently, as I need the rules and i'm starting to take quite a shine to the Orks and Space Wolves characters and fiction, but I'm still trying to decide whether to equip them to use as the formations or to find better load outs.
