I've been playing with Variations on Chewie + 2 for a bit. I've played with doing PS10 Ion with him, with running Roark and a couple of Zs instead of the X-Wing, and I know everyone is high on Chewie + 3Z but I just can't get into the Zs with him. I love them in a bunch of other lists, but just not with Chewie.

So what list do I like?

Chewbacca (42)
Predator (3)
Luke Skywalker (7)
Millennium Falcon (1)

Tarn Mison (23)
R7 Astromech (2)

Roark Garnet (19)
Tactician (2)

Total: 99

Originally I was right at 100 Points because I was running Gunner instead of Luke and a Stealth Device on Tarn, but I switched it up and I'm liking this much better.

What are you all enjoying in the Wave 4 meta?

Not a list per se, but I am really enjoying Soontir Fel and Turr Phennir recently. Since the Phantom came out I've taken the plunge to fast maneuverable ships, and these two really take the cake in that regard. Soontir in particularly has been great fun; had a good laugh in a game last night where he had only 1HP left so I used PTL to end up with an Evade and 2 Focus over his ability just to try and tank the shots and in the end I rolled all evades on my green dice and didn't even need them.

I finally used my Interceptors for the first time a few days ago and went all out with just Fel, Jax, and Turr all tooled up vs a 4 ship rebel list. I had assumed I'd get smashed as I wasn't used to their maneuver dial, or using boost and barrel-rolls, but it was a one-sided beat down in my favor, despite my rolling failing hard.

During the entire match my opponent was only able to fire 4-5 times, all but 1 of which were at range 3, and only 2 actually hitting.

-The first hit was on turn 2 with Fel and Turr going straight into a rookie x-wing with a focused Turr rolling 4 blanks (and then barrel-rolling out of a B-wing's fire arc) and then Fel, with a Target lock and Focus token, (boosting into range 1) getting 3 blanks and a focus, then 2 blanks and 2 focus after the re-roll. The totally-not-dead-rookie then rolled a natural 3 hits and a crit, with Fel ultimately taking a hit and the "take one damage if you overlap" crit.

-The second and last hit occurred near the end of the match with a stressed A-wing rolling 2 crits against Turr who... wait for it... rolled SIX blank evade die. Fortunately, Turr had an evade token because the crit he took was "minor explosion" and he failed the test and took a second damage card.

-The match ended with Jax pulling up parallel and face-to-face with the last x-wing with a nice wide green 2-turn, then barrel-rolling to the side, PTL, and then 1-bank boosting towards the x-wing, putting himself in range 1 and outside the x-wing's fire arc. Range 1, a previous target lock, and his card text put the game away in beautiful fashion.

Their mobility is insane and they will absolutely troll a list without PS9+ pilots, to the point I'm not really sure if it would be fun for your opponent. However, they are made of paper and would get brutally hard-countered by turrets.

For the pilots themselves, Turr is my least favorite as he needs VI to not be counted by PS8 pilots, and he can't have stress if you want to use his card-text. Not being able to get any tokens if you boost or barrel-roll as a regular action, and only getting the free action if/after shooting also hurts compared to the sweetness that is Fel.

I had great fun tonight playing:

Insanity Duo

Corran Horn
Push The Limit
Proton Torpedoes
Advanced Sensors
Engine Upgrade
R2-D2

Etahn A'baht
Push The Limit
Proton Torpedoes
Advanced Sensors
Engine Upgrade
R2 Unit

Now, I'm not going to say, go off and try this in a tournament, because that'd just be a step too far. However, I had *great* fun playing with this tonight and I'd certainly recommend anyone who has 2 E-Wings to try it out for a few games, especially if you're like me and not actually very, well, good, at the game. Between the Boost / Barrel Roll / Green Manoeuvre combos, I think I've actually *learned* more about how to fly in X-Wing in a single game than in any other.

And that's even with me sending Etahn off the board edge during the game (I got too cocky trying to outflank a TIE Squad) and nearly doing the same with Corran (Cue doing a 8 point turn in the back corner by a combination of barrel rolling backwards, then moving 1 space forward to clear enough room to turn).

I enjoyed flying the focus pass Rebel list:
Kyle Katarn
Blaster Turret
Recon Specialist

Garven Dreis
R2 Astromech

Dutch Vander
Blaster Turret
R2 Astromech

Lieutenant Blount

Fun, simple, all PS6, completely obvious though. :-P

Deep Frier of Mount Doom

I'm excited about trying out my two phantoms (the better generic squadron versions with the cloak mod, fire control, and gunner crew upgrades) and two academy ties as filler. I'm curious to see how the insane maneuverability of the phantom combines with the ability to attack at 4, get a target lock if it misses, then attack again with the gunner now with the benefit of the target lock.. and then cloak!

I just started playing and I have been enjoying this list:

"Whisper":
Advance Fire Control
Advance cloak
Veteran Instincts

Back Stabber

Howlrunner:
Swarm Tactics

Obsidian Squadron pilot

Academy Pilot

Total:100

Howlrunner and the two generic pilots fly head on at the enemy while backstabber and whisper sweep in to get some flanking shots and strafe the enemy formation.

It is a TON of fun to play because of the combination of a mini-horde of Ties and the super maneuverable and hard hitting interceptor.

I have a weird love of the HWK-290. Its aesthetically my favorite ship, so even though I know it isn't considered "good", I have been trying to make it work.

I have to say, Kyle + Mouldy Crowe + Recon Specialist, and Garvin Dreiss with the Rebel Transport "heal shield for a focus" astromech is something I want to keep using.

I had some success with it last night against some very good lists, and think with tweaks I can get it to do work.

We've got a 150pt tournament coming up around here, and i'm thinking at higher points, having one ship be so support focused is a lot more viable, and am going to build off of this foundation.

I started flying my fav EU game character Dash Rendar Monday night and have been having a blast! He 360-no-scoped most of the opposition in three games straight. The new Barrel Roll rule for large ships is very good BTW. Him and two Blue Squad B-Wings and I was happier than a lark
