This is a very touching story. I don't mind admitting a certain quality of dampness arose in the Kilkrazy eyes when reading this.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It's the way a lot of people would want to go. If your SO is the main reason for hanging around, why stay longer?
They came, they saw, they went quietly, together.

Read about this yesterday. Touching story.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

It's something I actually see quite frequently. We often have someone that has been married for a very very long time, and when one of them dies the other is often no more than a few months behind.

Sometimes I do think that a broken heart can be a real disease.

We also often have people that are alive for days when they should already be dead a long time ago, but they just keep on living until somebody important comes and says goodbye. One guy was alive for a week even though we were sure that he would die any minute now, no earthly idea on how he held on that long. When his daughter made it in from Europe she sat down next to the bed and told him "it's okay, you don't have to hold on anymore, I'm here, I love you" and 10 minutes later he was dead.

The mind has great power over the body.

I need to go find a happier thread.

My dad has often told me of how his grandparents, who lived on a farm in Oklahoma with no electricity inside the house, no toilet, etc. (they had a working kitchen sink, but, like everything else in the house it was super farmsteady, and while their was no electricals inside the house, they DID have a line run to the outside of the house, and they'd sit on the front porch watching WWF/pro wrestling in the evenings)...

Anyhow, they came of an age to where someone felt that they could no longer safely run/live on their farm, so moved them into a nursing home. Within 2 months both had died. So I can definitely see how having a "purpose" for living will keep people ticking over.

My brother and I were talking about our grandparents, our Nan pretty much lives to look after our grandpa who is disabled.

Both of them are 90 and just had their 69th wedding anniversary. My grandpa said he would like to see their 70th before calling it a day

Every couple should get the chance to live to their 69th wedding anniversary, just so they can laugh at the number in front of their grandchildren and gross them out.

I think its awesome to see older couples who have been together a long time, especially if they are happy and love each other. If they are at the red lobster or something, and just stare at each other with that look in their eyes of "why did I marry you, I should have done x instead..." then its not so awesome.
