Wouldn't you just love this kind of Stuff for 40k? I don't mean the game but knowing and to be able to get excited for an up coming product and plan to save money for it. 5 months away and get previews. I for one wish GW would do this. I know for me I can't get excited for GW and 40k stuff any more because all the releases are dull and boring for me. I don't even go on GW website much any more because any excitement on the site, I see through it and see how pathetic GW tries to make it exciting.

I am curios what others think. Would you like to get previews for up coming products? If not, why not? Do you even get excited now when GW releases anything now?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Absolutely. The secrecy is pointless and I'd rather know what's coming out and get excited over it. Like Infinity's Operation Ice Storm. I get more excited about it by the day.

This would be a good replacement for Battlefleet Gothic.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

For an entire game system being released, I would actually rather have something in-between. I am eagerly awaiting being able to buy Armada, but I would so much rather it was coming out before Christmas.

I think the press release is mostly for hyping it at Gencon. I know I will be playing the demo there for sure.

What GW needs is a one-two month advance on what's coming out. But they want impulse purchases.

It won't happen with the current GW. This is Games Workshop. They take the 'Game' out of Games Workshop. GW doesn't make games anymore, they merely cannibalize the 40K/Fantasy rule set for each new edition. When was the last time we saw GW come out with a completely new game? Dreadfleet like 5-6 years ago? It was a huge mistake IMHO for GW to close the Specialist Games and "concentrate" on their core games- 40K, Fantasy, and LotR. Even that concentration seems a bit off... there has been more 40K stuff released in the last six months then both of the other two games combined!

Even setting aside the fact that the "no previews" policy is idiotic from a marketing standpoint, I don't think you'll get very surprising results asking a fan community if they want more information about the thing they're fans of
