Hi all,

I'm trying to complete an Imperial Guard + Sisters of Battle + Inquisition female-only army.
So far I managed to find a suitable model for any unit I need except for the Crusader.

For those who are not familiar here's a pic of the male version: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120716195150/warhammer40k/images/c/c0/GreyKnightCrusader2.jpg

Does anyone know a suitable female model to represent it?

Keep this in mind:

1) I do NOT need a model that looks similar, it just needs to have a shield, some kind of armor and possibly a sword.
2) I need only 4-5 of them, price is not a problem at all.
3) Because I need multiple, I need something that is relatively easy to customize a bit so they don't look all too much similar (use the head from another model, change pose a little and possibly also change the weapon arm)

So far the only viable model I find is this: http://www.darkswordminiatures.com/shop/index.php/female-cavalier-with-sword-shield.html, but I find her not exactly impressive.. In addition I didn't understand if it comes already assemblied (which would mean difficult to customize).

Thanks in advance to everybody

Go over to reapermini.com. They have a ton of different female paladins and knights.

I can show some of the conversions I made:

The legs and torsos are Fantasy Dark Elf infantry, as are both arms. I swapped out the DE shield for something from the High Elves. The heads you can't get anymore (they were MeowMeowMinis), but the 28mm heroic heads from Statuesque Miniatures should serve just fine. I had a battalion box of the DE lying around (originally trying to get my wife into the hobby).

The axeheads are copies of a High Elf lord axehead off of one of the dragon kits. You can swap the weapon arms out for something else if you prefer, mayhaps the DE sword arm with a more Imperial-looking blade on it?

If the sharp pauldrons aren't your thing, should be fixable with some GS and/or snipping.

Well, there's a slight risk of gluing something together with it. Only slight, mind.

Thank you all guys for you ideas, I'll have to think on what to do now

Another good idea that I found while I was surfing the internet yesterday is taking the lower part from Dark Angel Veterans (with the robe and all that stuff) and the upper part of the body from Adepta Sororitas. Storm Shields from a bitz site for the shield. Which will suit the model pretty nicely, since Crusaders do wear Power Armour and a Storm Shields, after all

By the way if any of you has a similar idea and is looking for female models for 40k feel free to PM me, i'll share what I found gladly

There is always Necromunda Eshar gangers if you can find them, makes for good henchmen with flack armour and lasguns, then there are the female Eldar and dark Eldar and High/Dark Elfs minies to, I think there are some Britoian as well as Empier stuff that could help, And the tomb kings female mummy is also a nice minie to

Have you looked at most of the sororitas sculpts?

Most are not amenable to leg swaps.
