The 6th Edition Tau Codex notes that Crysis suits that take 2 of the same weapon have to take them as twin linked. However, I keep seeing that there may have been a 6th Ed Errata for Tau, that had a FAQ section, which allows taking 2 of the same weapon and paying regular price for each (non TL). First off, is this true? Second, where can I get this Errata as I can see myself needing to show some players that this load out is possible?

The codex allows it, the FAQ just confirmed it.
You can pay (points are just for example purposes)
10 points for a plasma gun
15 points for a twin linked plasma gun that takes up 2 "slots".

Nothing is restricting you from paying 20 points for 2 plasma guns (that won't be twin linked).

The Codex gives us permission to take two weapons:
We are told to select up to X items from the Ranged Weapon List, with X dependent on Model
Therefore we are able to access the Ranged Weapon List's option multiple times, up to X

Given that the Ranged Weapon List does not have a 'may take only 1 of each' Restriction, what prevents us from evoking our permission to access the Ranged Weapon List multiple times to select multiples of the same Weapon?

This. Unlike the previous codex, we are not forced to Twinlink the weapons. Taking two single versions is a legal selection.

Perfect, that works for me. I just wanted to be ready for someone who may question it, due to the twin linking language weapons/points list.

There tends to be a lot of confusion over this with people who are familiar with the older codex. It DID have this restrictions. The new one does not.
