So, after returning from a long absence, I thought I might catch up on this thread with a few updates.

In short, the idea is to take the hordes spectacularly-posed but sadly-cookie-cutter Chaos Cultists and imbue them with some personality before hurling a wall of them at my enemies. Also, most of the default models are autogun and not CCW/Pistol, which I still don't understand.

But without further ado, here's some converted (and many still WIP) additions to the EoN Cult of Personality:

Spoiler:

New Champion for fielding two smaller hordes of loyal meat shields

IG flamer plus a random gas can I had laying around the bitz box

And finally, the obligatory DV Helbrute WIP, with an arm swap so I can sling some plasma goodness.

Spoiler:

War Kitten- Nothing evens the odds like a reaper chainsword to the naughty bits
Sgt. Vanden- And now I'm a whale with panties. Can't see how this day can get any better.

Fiction: God-Fang (Beastmen) / The Flayed Legion (CSM)

UPDATE: Chaos Lord in progress. Converted guy, and I wanted to have as much versatility as possible, so I stuck a 3mm magnet disc in his back, and am in the process of adding metal to a sword, mace, flamer, and so forth so I can freely rotate between battles.

I like the cultists. I can't wait until GW comes out with an actual kit for them instead of just the same 10 DV figures.

Also, great job on the magnetization. Great way to keep it WYSIWYG

[Mods, could we get this moved to the P&M Blogs forum? Figure I might as well keep it condensed into one thread]

Appreciate the feedback, both of you. The DV Cultist figures always kinda bothered me with the cookie-cutter, though amazing looking, miniatures. I prefer a roiling sea of chaotic meatshields over repeated ranks of the same figures.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The painted weapons set, all of which firmly magnetize to the Lord's back, and which now include (for a limited time offer) the Burning Brand of Skalathrax.

And while I've seen some cool conversions for the Brand, I always thought of it in the story as a relatively mundane flamer when Kharn first picked it up, which gained its desecrated/daemonic status because of what happened. Kharn just needed to burn some tches, and this random flamer was the closest tch-burning instrument at hand.

TL;DR: I jazzed up a regular flamer, because that's what I envision Kharn using when he went postal.

Awesome ideas! I am going to have to barrow these.

The wolves go for the throat.
We go for the eyes.
Then the tongue.
Then the hands.
Then the feet
Then we skin the crippled remains.
