Hello, I've been getting into 15mm scale lately, and I decided that I would like to convert a covenant army. I figure it would be easier than doing it in 28mm, after all.

I have been looking around, but does anyone have any suggestions to help me find some? Any models, infantry or vehicles, that could conceivably be altered or even used as-is with a good paintjob to be the covenant?

I'd appreciate the help

This is really the closest that comes to mind:

Although Khurusan had quite a wide range of aliens; some of which could possibly service as elites with some conversion or a creative paintjob. Maybe Micropanzer space dwarfs for grunts? No real idea what to do for vehicles though.

wow these are awesome! Does anyone know about good stand-ins for 10mm covenant though?

Well 15mm figs like the CMG naga and protolene could make good elites, as they are human-sized for 15mm but will tower appropriately over 10mm.

Huh i do like the look of Khurusan's "not elites", and looks like they're up on the store right now too. Would be nice to see them painted up as proper elites.

The only problem i could see is size- if they are human sized 15mm they wont look impressive enough. Elites are 8 feet tall, usually.

What not-elites specifically are you referring to btw?

also these bikes would make perfect ghosts. http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/felid-jetbikes.jpg

Damn sites down again or i'd link. Check out the bottom of the 15mm Sci Fi Alien range, "Imperial Alien Expansionists" or something. Look like Elites with tails. It references them being "7-8 feet tall" in the mini fluff blurb, but I can't tell if that means they're regular 15mm or slightly larger to represent that.

Edit: These are the ones I mean http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/imperial-aliens.jpg

Hmmm yeah, they could definitely work. I considered the Garn as well, but their heads are too big for my tastes.

According to this pic, you're right, they are taller than humans. Looks like I've found my elites!

Whats the Wolfman looking one above the Elite? I don't recognize it, or is it one of his tiger soldiers with a different paint job?

I'm tempted by the elites myself now. Any ideas on the canon colour scheme?

Not sure about the wolfman, cant make it our clearly on my phone.

Elite mooks are a dark blue.

Majors, who lead squads of elites and Lances (Platoons) of other covenant races are red.

Ultra, who lead companies, are silver, plus with armour mods.

SpecOps are a bunch of different colours, from maroon to grey.

and Zealots seem to be gold when leading armies, and maroon in Reach, when they were formed into an elite strike squad. My theory is that Zealot is an umbrella term for elites higher-ranked than Ultras, and some Elites become commanders or elite assassin-types depending on their skills, because elites will always promote good fighters, regardless of commanding skill.

Out of curiosity, what ruleset are you thinking of using to play 15mm halo?

Dirtside 2. I like the customisability of the vehicles, and I've managed to get the generic human ruleset to work for covenant through only some minor house-ruling.
