I'm coming back to Infinity after a couple years away, and I'm not totally sure what is going on. I see that Operation Icestorm is coming out, and it appears that there is also going to be a new edition. Is there anything else that I need to know? InfinityArmy seems to have the same points/swc costs that I remember from before, but I assume that the new edition might include some changes to my Qapu Khalqi nutters? I dropped out right after Paradiso hit, and never owned any books, concentrating on buying juicy models instead.

Near the end of the year N3 or Infinity 3rd ed, will drop. But, the N3 Quick-Start Rules will go online next month. Pretty much every unit will get a overhaul when N3 is out. There are big changes in N3, from weapon range, how CC work, LoL, and on and on, so far all look for the better.

Sounds good. I'll keep a beady eye out for the new pdf to drop then. Hopefully my beloved Druze and Odalisques don't get nerfed :(

Think they are saying end of September for Icestorm, November for the 3rd edition book.

There won't be much for Qapu Khalki, I'd guess. They already get everything! CB have said that the current sectorials are 'finished' aside from gap filling units, probably to make use of/counter new rules and weapons.

Qapu Khalki don't exactly have many gaps left to fill. But they might get the odd unit to use some new special rules.

The future of Haqqislam for now looks to be resculpting older units (the new Maghariba Guard was a real surprise) before the Acheron Falls deluge adds Caliphate/Al Medinate (lots of Tarik-like super soldiers) and Khanate (biker gangs) sectorials.

Yeah, I remember the cries of woe as QK got all the good stuff back in the day. I loved that. I did never pick up any Sekban though, nor the Iguana which is an incredible model. Kind of need to rebuild an Infinity gaming group though, ho hum.
