Hey guys!
How do you deal with the Ork Mob rule, in the case you roll 2-3 on the table, and if the unit you only have left:
- 1 Nob, all alone --> 2-3 = unaffected?
- 1 Nob + 1 Boy --> rolling the same damages for 1 poor Boy (1D6 S4 all for him lol) than for 9 Boyz looks quite painful
Thank you for your clarification!

Due to crappy rules writing on gw's part, the nob is fully capable of killing himself, while trying to bolster his bravery by beating himself senseless to stay in the fight.
I had a unit of trukk boyz, they got blown out of their vehicle (3 died) then they failed their pinning and rolled a 5 (2 more died) then they failed their leadership (3 more died)

Because flaming GW is more fun than actually reading the rules, right?
You cannot allocate wounds from 2-3 to a character, so the nob cannot allocate any wounds to himself.
Also, under the old mob rule, your boyz would either have been pinned or simple ran away, never to be seen again. Losing the whole mob is totally better than taking a couple of casualties, right?
Not to mention that a result of 5 after losing 3 models means the mob is pinned, you don't take any casualties.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

I agree. I remember reading an example somewhere that has a lone nob, and they mentioned that he couldn't wound himself due to mob rule. The extra wounds are just lost.

Same goes for Nobz and MegaNobz, they can't be the target of the D6 hits, so they either just pass or fail the test without taking hits

Remember, only for boss nobs and boss meganobs. Regular nobs and meganobs aren't characters. Also, a 5,6 mob rule roll can wound characters, (if your squad still has 10 models).
