Was curious if anyone had a chanced to check out the Mantic booth at Gen Con, I was there but must have had my idiot blinders on as I couldn't find the booth despite walking past it about 6 times. (Probably would have helped to check a map). Likely would have seen if but for some reason I kept looking left while going down that row, and with so many people there it's really easy to get disorientated.

Was hoping to catch at look at any of the wave 2 plastic stuff if they had samples to show. Anyone have any feedback from the booth or better yet pictures?

Really sad I missed the booth.

I asked my friends to pop in, but haven't heard a peep. I think Orky (or Blaine) got them both.

I'm too far away for GenCon (or any con) but this popped up during, and has some of the wave 2 stuff in it

The Mantic booth was a simple 10x20 with a large Dreadball banner, two podiums with Deadzone and Mars Attack, a shelf of Deadzone (and terrain) and a shelf with Loka, Dreadball, and Kings of War, and Deadzone books. They also had a table with Dreadball demos and a large structure of Deadzone terrain with a few models in it.

Don't feel bad about missing it. We walked past it like six times and only found it when Heath Foley took us there because he was doing sketches at their booth.

Edit: It was on the other side of the Hirst Arts booth.

What kinds of deals were they offering? I had two friends looking, and neither found it. I'm a sad panda...

So you didn't get to see Garrett Wang (Kim from Star Trek Voyager) at the stand then?

I went to their booth half a dozen times, I missed both Heath and Garret, though I talked to most of the members of their staff present, some pathfinders, got to meet Ronnie and Chris, Pat Lewis, a couple of others my memory is not working for.

They didn't have much in the way of second wave stuff. I think they had the card deck, the stuntbot, a limited amount of mars attacks.

The booth was hard to find, I knew it was in row 1300 but it was easy to miss.

I don't recall any particular item that was on a crazy sale, but it sounded like some things were probably 20something percent off. If you participated in one of their events you got a 25% off a starter set coupon. I convinced them to let me use it on a large enough box of battle zones and threw another 40something mantic points at them, I think I traded a hundred dollar bill for a Runined Quadrant, not too shabby

Heath was at The Warstore's booth 90% of the show. He was pimping his own game with his two business partners or hanging out after hours with them, Ronnie, or me (bum was crashing in my room).
