Looking for ideas for how to go about modeling a warp jump for my Warp Spiders. Perhaps a portal to step in? Or some sort of distortion? What're your thoughts?

As a thought, look into how folks are painting their Tau Stealth-suits- some variant of that might show stepping out of the warp.

Baaah, there is just too much internet...

I was trying to find an epic conversion I saw some time ago... anyways... he took a saw and cut the mini in two parts... he then attached a painted circular "portal" to the body thus making it look like it was halfway emerging from the portal.

Another idea as per dasiy is the Tau style stealth suits coming out or into camo

but instead of the background color you could paint it black/purpleish and all vortexy.

But going by DOW they just Blink in and out IIRC
