I've finally done it! After buying the core set for my brother-in-law for X-mas, I've finally got my own and played a few games... Now I have a bunch of stuff soon to arrive to expand past the core ships. Really looking forward to the scum and villany faction release, I will probably pick up the S&V base set, maybe a Y-wing pack, and the Ig-88 ship, but thats down the road.. I still have a lot of learning and playing to do, and to get into my first 100 point games next week, and looking for some suggestions.
So I have:
Core = x2 tie
Tie pack = +1 tie
Tie Adv pack = x1 tie adv
Imperial aces = x2 Interceptors
Slave 1 = x1 firespray
the list I've been playing around with:
Firespray w/kath scarlet
Interceptor w/ tetran cowell and expert handeling
Basic Tie x3
don't have enough TIEs for a swarm, really want to get to know the firespray, and I like the idea of intercptors working as flankers. In my search for lists with the firespray, it was usally decked out and any remaining points were in a swarm of basic ties for support, and I kinda like the idea of throwing the interceptor in there for distraction.
couple of ideas I had that I'd love ideas on:
Switching expert handling for swarm tactics or squad leader?
getting bobba instead of kath and dropping the expert handling for a veteran instincts = allows for some flexability with firespray at the loss of survivability on the interceptor.
carnor Jax instead of cowell to perhaps help the firespray. = I may need to be a better pilot first!
Or, are there any other builds firespray focused without a swarm that anyone could suggest with what I have?
