Subject: To be bound or not to be?

I've started an astra militarum collection and while I intend to mostly follow force org for reason of the units I want being in that pattern, I would prefer to keep my tanks split rather than in a squad. I plan to take creed for his two warlord traits, so do you think I should suck it up and be squad-ed and bound or split the fire power and lose the reroll on warlord traits?

I recommend this.
You have more tanks? That's great!
CAD 3
CAD 4
CAD 5
Etc, until you've got all the Heavy Support slots your heart desires.
Just make sure you have the 1 HQ 2 Troops for each CAD.

Being bound is about a lot more than having a re-roll for the warlord trait (although getting the one you want 1/3 of the time vs 1/6 of the time is significant). It's about Objective Secured troops. If you can't secure the objectives, you can bet your bottom dollar that your opponents troops will. Can you kill them all? If you can't, then you will lose because a single model will contest and the tie goes to them if you don't have objective secured. It's a big deal. How would you handle 5 drop pods with 2 objective secured units inside of each one, plus the pod itself being objective secured? Can you kill all of those units in 5 turns? I'm not sure. IG might actually have a better go of it than most people, but that's one of the builds on the extreme end that shows how powerful Objective Secured is. Much of the time the game for the army that isn't bound becomes: "Can I table you (or get really close? No? Ok you win then" Essentially, if it's not a big deal, you had better be bringing some nasty juju to compensate for their troops that are, quite literally, better than your models at grabbing objectives.

I plan on using veterans, a manticore, and six leman russ vanquishers, creed command squad with a master of ordy, Valkyries. (Vets will be in IMPROVED METAL BAWK.... I mean tauroxes). Currently I can only run unbound with my company creed squad, a russ, a vengeance battery, and a firestorm redoubt.
