Subject: What game were you exited for that got cancelled?
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

And technically speaking it hasn't even been officially cancelled yet.

It's far easier to imagine that they planned and binned it than it is to accept that it never existed... *sniff*
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

It came out, but I still consider it cancelled considering how quickly its online only aspect fell apart and got shut down.
Hellgate: London. Basically D2 with Mass Effect style tech and weapons. It was amazing, had fun environments and interesting monsters, and cool classes. Unfortunately, it was not popular, people refused to support it do to its online only aspect, and it got shut down something like 6 months in.
Especially once it was known that it was replacing an OBSIDIAN MADE WHITE WOLF RPG. Grah!
This.
Plus Van Buren, obviously.
New Vegas is essentially Van Buren running in Fallout 3 style.
Yeah, so it's not that great.
I'll echo Van Buren.
Also, End of Nations. It's not exactly canceled, but it started as an MMORTS with petroglyph working on it and showing a lot of promise. Now it's just another MOBA that is probably never going to amount to anything.

The upcoming command and conquer game that never got made. I wasn't terribly excited for it but i wish it happened.
If we can include games that should've had a sequel i'd say 'Freedom Fighters'. That game totally deserved it instead of the 'kane and lynch' series. I mean come on! I wish so badly there was a 'freedom fighters 2' and i won't deny i've been a huge cold war buff for some reason. It's part of the reason why the 'Wargame' series is such a big deal to me. Not to mention you can go with the 80's and 90's vibe with a lot of it and the awesome soviet era music and that's never a bad thing.
Another game that deserved a sequel was the 'jedi knight series'. God that series was fantastic. I'd probably throw out 3 times the normal asking price just to play a next game in the series if it was any good. Jedi outcast and jedi academy were really fun. Then again maybe it's fair it ended. It had a decent run. I mean not every game can run on as long as final fantasy.
@soladrin: Wait what happened to petroglyph and 'end of nations'. I really like the post-westwood company and that game. I wasn't following what happened.

Also everyone saying starcraft ghost is cancelled.
It currently is still in the works. They are just waiting for a graphics engine to handle it. Because there is going to be a lot of things going on in the game. They want to execute far above most normal shooters in terms of graphics and performance. It has not been cancelled. Warcraft Lord of the Clans was. But Starcraft ghost is only in the land of in development.
