I have to admit. I hate this meme.
Whereas I hate "meme" being used to mean "idea I dislike".
Does Half-Life 3 count yet?

"The 75mm gun is firing. The 37mm gun is firing, but is traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. I am saying "Driver, advance." and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as I look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich." |

I still expect Valve to announce HL3. I want them to announced Half-Life 2: Episode 3 though.

Its a good thing I didnt say anything even REMOTELY CLOSE to that.
I said I hate the meme that people like to say that says that Medal of Honor and Call of Duty feel so much alike the names should be combined to create a game called Medal of Duty Call of Honor. That is a meme.
I dislike people who dislike FPS
or
I dislike people who dislike CoD
or
I dislike people who dislike Battlefield
or
I dislike people or dislike modern military shooters
I dont even disagree with the post I originally referenced. I actually agreed with it. (I just didnt mention that cause it was not relevant to my point)
I said I dislike the meme (which is exactly what that is. Its a meme found throughout the internet)
I can tell the difference between Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, and Battlefield within seconds because they are all very different games. Ya a quick snapshot of one may not make that clear (especially the campaigns) but the 3 games DO actually have a unique feel to them.

Actually, I rather liked Medal of Honor, myself, and I was okay with a lot of the CoD series (though the battlefield series really doesn't have much to offer me), especially blops once I learned to view it ironically as a game making fun of itself. Still doesn't stop me from musing how similar the three series really are. They are not vastly different games. They are only marginally different.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Dayz Standalone SP PVE. Interestingly enough, the creator said the PVP was unintended, and that the testers of the alpha/mod said he only put the PVP in because people didn't like fighting only zombies.
Originally was like 25 or so different types of zombies, including dog, and the feeder. (Basically evolved zombie.) They introduced it in Epoch,....*shrugs*
The current game as it stands sucks. zombies spawning out of nowhere, people going as far as single shotting fresh spawns. Hate it

Relic is still around XD
They are currently busy on a project. They have not released any information according to some of my sources, its all wrapped up in secrecy. So it might be dawn of war 3.
