Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Hey folks!

Learning 7th Edition, have a question:

Baron Sathonyx has a Phantasm Grenade Launcher. It confers offensive and defensive grenades. I understand that defensive grenades can now be thrown? Or that they cause a blind test? Is it a template? An assaulting or defensive tactic? How does it work?

Read the rules for defensive grenades in the rulebook, it is very clear.

Assault grenades and Defensive grenades are found in the Rulebook (page 180, or if digital, after the Special Rules section of the Appendix).
The Baron, and any unit he joins, count as being armed with these - note that it only gives the 'standard' Assault grenades and not Plasma grenades which are the common Eldar equivalent.
