Ah,

maybe these are Nazi Orks at the Battle of the Bulge, impersonating Americans

Almost funded now

I asked about seeing the melee orks and hero and was told

Creator MaxMini.eu about 12 hours ago

@Orlando: melee orcs should be posted by the end of the week. Hero will take a while longer - we're finishing work on vehicles and we're starting the characters.

so they are on their way

Update #2 Sep 12 2014

Stunning follow up after day one

Chris pimps minis

Chris is currently pimping the studio paintjobs, Konrad and Kuba are modeling like crazy, me and Kacper are pulling the things together, answering to questions and so on.

The follow up is awesome - and your feedback is too . Another bunch of stretch goals have been reached and I've started uploading some new unit cards. If you haven't noticed them here they are:

Goblin Tanks

Big Truck

Goblin tanks are light and small vehicles while big truck is what the name implies - huge and scary behemoth.

I'm also closely watching questions as I want to compile first FAQ this weekend. So if you would like to ask something feel more than welcome.

So till tomorrow - my laptop is getting crazy hot trying to cope with rendering movies and teasers for a next update .

Questions/comments:

1) Will there be a pledge manager where we can add mroe $ for more stuff.

I think what Azazelx is asking is whether we will be able to add cash AFTER the KS campaign has finished

by using paypal or credit cards during the pledge manager process (what ever method you choose to use)

some people will not be able to commit (a lot of) cash during the KS, but might have it to spare in a couple of months time,

others will prefer to not spend as much as they want to now but will If they know they can't add more cash later

(as a lot of KS project creators do allow people to add more cash post KS backers will assume they can unless you explicitly say they can't)

As with all KS (and private pre-orders) if you absolutely have to have stuff by a deadline I'd be very wary,

but if your prepared to take a chance (or like me don't really mind if things end up running a bit behind) this looks glorious

It's one of the things that makes a (potential) December ship date feasible as spin casting the bodies will not take the huge amount of time that doing the resin work will

Update #7 Sep 19 2014

"Mecha" week draws to an end...

..... wow, and what a week it was! The sheer amount of interest and positive feedback was totally overwhelming. Glad we have come prepared and most of the assets have been ready on the start (sculpted) - some even in production. On my behalf I'm happy that I have prepared a number of templates that allow me to update the main site quickly. And mind we're showing new stuff almost every day - something that you don't see often.
Renders of the sculpted items proved to be a bottleneck tough - I made some prior to campaign, but items unlock so quickly . It is tricky to catch up - mind that 5 seconds (!) of turntable animation usually takes over 5 hours of render time(!). I'm considering making much less time consuming OpenGL movies instead - but I guess I'm getting into technical details that may not interest you much . You want meat !

As mentioned this week we concentrated on vehicles and mechanic assets. With those mostly done we're moving to units - starting from Monday.
What then? Hehehe - if you look at the goals tree diagram you'll notice there's a certain aspect present in every army missing. That's what's coming next (yeah, I know I'm a tease ).

Orks are always worth having even if you don't game (at least IMHO)

Orc Medics would be a big hit with me for their next reveal, but who knows. we'll have to wait and see

I think it's to do with being able to cast stuff in quantities fast enough (and on budget)

you can get plenty of heads/arms in a resin mould so they can afford to have lots to enable quick casting,

Orc bodies would require a larger mould (volume wise) for a single body meaning either much slower casting or higher costs as you end up with lots of big (reletivly) moulds needing frequent replacements

I'd say the 'extra' in this one will be a lower price than we'll see at retail (assuming all of it gets there),

but if you're not feeling the project is for you dropping it is the right thing to do. KS projects you really want are stressful enough to wait for, if you're not sure you actually want what's coming it would be a lot worse

Do the pledges in your store mean I can just bypass Kickstarter completely and come just to you? Will the heroes that come at certain levels still be included if a pledge is purchased directly from you?

You can pick up the basic pledge levels here

http://maxmini.eu/TGA

but if you something in between (eg Officer + and extra £30) KS is your best bet,

They've also not specifically said that the paypal website stuff will count for unlocks

The last bit of solid info we got date wise was on the 18th Dec

Taking Christams and holidays into account I think that mid Feb is realistic deadline, but we'll try to speed it up.

then they checked in again on 6th Jan

Batteries recharged.

First of all - hope you had great Christmas time! And hope you'll have a great 2015.

Just wanted to let you know that we're back after the Christmas break. While some of us (like me ) checked in between Christmas and New Year to make sure our webstore orders are getting sent (also we had some urgent request for a cool trophy / statue ), the huge part of the team has taken their days off.

From tomorrow we're back to the full strenght with the batteries recharged. So stay tuned for updates !

and from the comments (again 6th Jan)

@Andrew: by tomorrow we'll be back to full strenght.
I'm cooking up some updates. But in short - we're 99% past the sculpting part ( Smacton left and some minor tweaks to exosuit chief), so it is not an issue. The only thing that slowes us down are some of the outsourced prototypes - at this moment goblin tanks are left. Infantry is in production.

Once a KS funds the threads are moved to the appropriate sub forum too keep from clogging up N&R with either 'why isn''t this done yet' or 'my stuff has arrived' posts

(with the exception of a few where there is enough genuine news from the company to keep a merged thread)

and we got an update today too

Those are some of the shooting orcs variants that did not fit the rendered unit card.
On the production front - new 3d printer is up and running and the missing models I've mentioned (goblin tanks and exosuits) are being prototyped.
I have to admit I'm pretty excited to have this extra piece of hardware to aid making this happen. While as most of the 3d printers it is not plug and play solution, having the option to work on 2 machines speeds the things up.
And on a side note - it was also good moment to declutter the workshop . It's always surprising to see the way the same amount of stuff takes a lot less space if organized better.

I think you should have had your unique pledge manager link by now (they went out around 20th October 2014)

The subject line would have been

The Green Alliance order form - id XXX(your unique number)

from

thegreenalliance (at) maxmini.eu

so I'd check your spam filter (if it's hasn't auto deleted by now) and then chase them up if you've not got anything in there

Creator MaxMini.eu 1 day ago

Guys, the plan is to start sending first packages this month. For sure not all, but I'd like to get the simplest orders done .
It won't be easy - that's sure, but we're really committed to do it and one of the reasons I have spent quite a lot of time in the modeling workshop recently.
The good news the prints that were a pain are being done on our new printers now so the biggest obstacle we've encountered so far is no more. So now we print even really big models inhouse, without a need to rely on external workshops.
