it is way better than that - you can swap the arms between models too (clothed arms with clothed arms, bare with bare), This is something we wish to carry if the extra heads/bodies/arms unlock

Is that for the gobbos and orks or just the orks? Just trying to figure out how crazy I might go. Love all the other stuff I've gotten from you guys over the years.

orcs . goblins have interchangeable heads - for such a small kind of models breaking them into more parts would be definitely on a crazy side

Sounds good. For the gobbos is it currently only 5 bodies or is it 10?

So are the bullets going to be worked out so that we one for every dollar after the exchange rate? Like say the 60 pound pledge actually goes up to $110 US. Would we still get 110 bullets plus the extra 5 or would we just be getting 100?

It will come down to exchange rate - we've posted an approximated rate that has been worked out when we have posted the project.
So I'd say that such things will be worked out in your favor .

I put in 60 quid. That gets me a half track, 10 orcs and 10 gobbos with shipping, exactly. Almost like that's the intended basic pledge!

Also, Kroothawk can now die happy, a Polish resin company is doing WW2 Orks that aren't nazis.

Why is the £900 pledge worse than the £600 one in regards to bonus bullets.

£300 gets you +50
£600 gets you +120
£900 gets you +140?

Heck with 3 accounts getting the £300 pledge you'd get +150, or do 1 £600 and 1 £300 and get +170?

60/5=12
120/20=6
300/50=6
600/120=5
900/140=6,43?

If you look at the above you can see an exact ratio of division, except for the £900 pledge where it's messed up?

If we would use the 5 ratio as in the £600 pledge we would get 900/5=180
So should the bonus bullets be 180? or is the ratio meant to go down even further? to 4 for 225 bonus bullets?

Or should they all be 6 (except first one)? As in you wrote the wrong number in the £600 pledge where 600/6=100 and the £900 should be 150? This wouldn't make much sense because the £600 pledge would be no better than 2 £300 pledges (postage dont count in my arguments )

-But you get a custom head with the £900 pledge!
True, but I'd also like the bonus to be just as good as the pledge below it if not better as I'd be pledging more...

Also on postage.
So if I spend:
$1-$35 shipping is $5
$36-$140 it's $20
$141+ it's $40

Those are some pretty bad postage rates, is that for US shipping or something? I'd expect it to be far lower than that within the EU?

Dollar ratios for those wondering:
200/20=10
500/50=10
1000/120=8,33
1500/140=10,71

Basically: The more you spend the worse the extra bullet deal gets. People talk about a sweet spot in kickstarters and with this one it's definitely the $1000/£600 one (unless you count the $1500/£900 bonus head sculpt for the first 10 pledgers. So once those are gone (if they go) then the $1500/£900 pledge will be the worst one in the kickstarter except for the $100/£60 pledge.

As for shipping - the shipping carrier out here flattened the rates out here a couple of months ago. They start to diversify with heavier packages - but we have decided to cover for those.
Also note we are not talking about just a bunch of figures - it's about quite large package filled with models. I've seen way to many KS going into trouble by providing unrealistic shipping rates.
Sadly no small company will get discounts as for example amazon does from shipping carriers.

The bonus on the top pledge level should be 150, not 140 - which should give you identical bonus per buck as the lvl below plus your own sculpt. I've been doing last minute change to this lvl (spotted small typo) and it looks I've hit 4 instead of 5. Thx for pointing that out - will fix that.

edit: it is fixed

@Orlando: melee orcs should be posted by the end of the week. Hero will take a while longer - we're finishing work on vehicles and we're starting the characters.

What are the retail prices like? Not letting know or if it's a small difference that might push backers away from this, if the difference is substantial your campaign will probably attract more people.

Just a thought...

This still doesn't really fix the issue:
£600/120=5
£900/150=6

If you made the bonus the same as the £600 one the bonus bullets should be 180 as I pointed out in my first post
If you are going for a flat rate of 6 the £600 one should be 100 and not 120. The £600 one is still the best deal in this kickstarter and if you get all 10 £900 ones claimed anyone else who picks it will actually "lose" money doing so compared to the £600 one.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice this and people might feel a bit pissed when one goes about changing their pledges for the worse
So I'd change the £900 one to 180 to make it even with the £600 one or lower the £600 one to 100 to keep it even across the board.

Can I have your stuff?

Friendly bump while waiting for updates as the campaign already crashed stretch goal after stretch goal. You guys at Maxmini might be starting to think about adding more goals above the 35,000 US.

EDIT: Flag shows UK as I am currently on vacation there

Nice campaign with the classical warhammer dumby Orks + Gobbos, easily funded and hitting stretch goals from day one! I'm thinking of backing it if it weren't for a couple of flaws I can't get off my head.

Apart the 600/900 pound level issue (which makes imo the 900 worse! as others spotted above), they have answered/dodged the retail price question in a very vague way
I can't say exactly now but generally you can count that KS amounts are as low as we could give to make it reasonable for all of us . I can say that you can feel with those prices as a wholesaler

AFAIK that would be something like 40-50% then, cause that's what wholesalers buy at (unless things have changed, which I doubt since they usually dicount from RRP). That would mean instead of 35$ for 10 Orks the retail price will be 70$? For some reason, I highly doubt that...
But maybe becuase of the language barrier they didn't really mean that (reminds me of a FF campaign, lol!) so it can mean different things to different people, 35$ for 10 Orks is a good deal me thinks, but if it's 45$ retail then jumping in just for the Orcs and not buying them off from some retailer (at a disounted price and with free shipping maybe) doesn't really make sense

Another (disturbing) thing I noticed on the comment section was when speaking of the quality of maxmini minis the person answering is not the creator but a backer that goes by the name Billy Pistole,

In his first 2 comments he's acting like he is a normal backer

I'm in! This is going to be a brilliant KS. Love the models.

Does the facebook share link work for anyone? I tried and it didn't actually do anything. If its not working I just wanted to let Maxmini know.

then he goes on answering one of the backers questions on the quality of maxmini minis ( (which I'm not saying is bad, I honestly don't know and like instead to believe is good)
...I've got loads of Maxmini Items and it is all top notch, great detail, clean casting, easy to assemble and looks great on the table top...

OK, in good faith let's say I can accept that and these minis are (according to him) nothing less than the best in the world, like I said I think they are probably good quality, but either this is a very weird coincidence or he's the very same guy listed on the last part of the video who helped make this! What happened, did he lose his phone numbers?
I think a person answering outside the creative team would be more adequate and impartial, because this seems like you're toying with your pledgers and certainly doesn't inspire any confidence...

On the plus side, I think it's nice to have revealed what their planned stretched goals are and seems they've done enough of their homework so if this skyrockets they will be ready

I'm only saying what I think, since I cannot comment on the KS section but the creators (who have worked on this) are probably following this thread I wanted them to know...
Good luck MaxMini, hope all goes well!

@Siro: no need to dig conspiracy theories here.
When it comes to Billy he has been our customer from almost day one. Thus we're on a more personal contact with him - which usually means he is better informed than most. And no , he is not our employee - it would be awesome to have him aboard but I don't think we could afford him and there's quite a lot of space between Texas USA and Warsaw Poland.
Not to mention that even if those wouldn't be such issue I'm not sure Billy would be interested.

Oh, and yeah he is the one I thank at the end of the video - he deserved it. I sent him a bunch of emails asking what he thinks about various aspects of the project and his VERY honest feedback was immensely helpful.

As for retail price - the explanation is in project description but will restate it. The answer in the comments is not dodging the bullets - the truth is I simply don't know. We did simulation only for some of the units - and it has turned out it would be very expensive if we decide to sell them through distribution channels. Maybe not 70USD for unit of orcs, but close. And that's one of the reasons we decided to use KS - the idea was too cool not to try it, but at the same time not doable regular way. By using KS we are able to offer it directly and check whether it makes sense. We believed it does - and it seems we were right .
At this point I don't know what kind of priced in retail those could have - in fact there's an equal chance that as soon the molds wear out those will be not be reproduced anymore.

And last the dreaded 1500USD pledge - check it, it is fixed. For some reason it is the most tweaked pledge lvl among all. Probably reason why a glitch passed in it - we simply couldn't look at it any more. Hopefully it is ok now.

@ Sirio
Hi, I'm billy pistole. Yes I am a backer and yes I do believe Maxmini has some of the best quality resin products out there. When compared to FW and other shops I think they are far superior. Kromlech is on par with Maxmini but chapter house puppetswar and others are not as good. That is just my honest opinion. I occasionally write reviews for BoLS and I am constantly impressed by the quality. I assure you I am no employee, I haven't got the artistic skill to come close.

I think Lone Dirty Dog and I have been customers from Maxmini for close to the same amount of time. He and I have talked on several occasions about various products and projects.

I am just really excited for this project as I have been drooling over the renders for months now. So if I came off a bit over zealous.

Check out Maxmini , Kromlech and Puppetswar for great conversion bits!
