In at $100 (all I can afford right now). Would it be wrong to start an Ork 40k army and only use these Gobos lol? They're amazing.

Kicktraw is trending towards 117,000 Pounds, Which is awesome, if we get even half that imagine what we can unlock, I hope for some freebies other than just parts.

Guys, I just wrote what all this made me think, it's not digging conspiracy theories at all, I believe you would think the same if you didn't know the stuff you just explained. I didn't call you any names but it did seem... "funny".

Anyway, all cool mates, happy you are watching the forums (as I thought you would). Again, good luck on this campaign!

I didn't take it in a bad way. I just wanted to clarify it from my perspective so that everyone is on the same page.

I hope you decide to jump on board.

@shauni55
a 40k army of all grots might be tough to play with. They are pretty weak and have a short rage and weak guns. I've only got about $100 to spare as well so I know where you are coming from. I'm just going to get as many varied things as possible and hopefully add more later on.

This KS is going to skyrocket far past the current stretchgoals. i hope that as we gain funds, new freebies other than arms and heads become available. I don't need 5 sets of arms to pick from per model.

Not all the stretch goals are free, the bikers, tanks etc will only add more funds to the KS (which is a good thing)

Hi, I'm billy pistole. Yes I am a backer and yes I do believe Maxmini has some of the best quality resin products out there. When compared to FW and other shops I think they are far superior. Kromlech is on par with Maxmini but chapter house puppetswar and others are not as good. That is just my honest opinion. I occasionally write reviews for BoLS and I am constantly impressed by the quality. I assure you I am no employee, I haven't got the artistic skill to come close.

I think Lone Dirty Dog and I have been customers from Maxmini for close to the same amount of time. He and I have talked on several occasions about various products and projects.

I am just really excited for this project as I have been drooling over the renders for months now. So if I came off a bit over zealous.

Yes we have been there from the early days " looking in to the distance with tear in his eye" no seriously I can guarantee that Billy is not an employee if he was he would be paying his own wages.

Back in the day when Maxmini was a wee shop and had its own forum board I think billy was always quick to give advice and suggestions so provided a lot of good feedback, hence the close relationship with Przemas.

I think it is always good to have a customer base that you can run ideas by and get some needed feedback from, think about it helps to offer a better product for your market.

I also have run ideas and suggestions by przemas and found him to be open to customer feedback and enthusiastic to ideas, also helpful and accommodating to particular needs with orders.

The only other thing I would add is the casting quality has been second to none, so have no doubts there overall they have been a top market contender IMHO.

O yes I am not an employee either however if they want to offer me a job I am open to offers

Billy you need to update your Blog

Friendly bump while waiting for updates as the campaign already crashed stretch goal after stretch goal. You guys at Maxmini might be starting to think about adding more goals above the 35,000 US.

Great looking orks, pledged!

Wish there was some concept art or something about the stretch goal models, as that would encourage people to risk a higher amount.

Update #2 Sep 12 2014

Stunning follow up after day one

Chris pimps minis

Chris is currently pimping the studio paintjobs, Konrad and Kuba are modeling like crazy, me and Kacper are pulling the things together, answering to questions and so on.

The follow up is awesome - and your feedback is too . Another bunch of stretch goals have been reached and I've started uploading some new unit cards. If you haven't noticed them here they are:

Goblin Tanks

Big Truck

Goblin tanks are light and small vehicles while big truck is what the name implies - huge and scary behemoth.

I'm also closely watching questions as I want to compile first FAQ this weekend. So if you would like to ask something feel more than welcome.

So till tomorrow - my laptop is getting crazy hot trying to cope with rendering movies and teasers for a next update .

Thx Orlando .

@shauni55: goblin tanks were created as smaller, light vehicles.

Questions/comments:

1) Will there be a pledge manager where we can add mroe $ for more stuff.

2) "Bullets" for shipping is silly. Especially with exchange rate changes dollars for pounds. Just change it to real-money rates.

3) I'd love to see pictures/renders for the stretch goals.

4) December 2014? Really? Really? You know I love you guys, but really? What about stretch goal items? What kinds of delays will they throw in? Will people be able to get their stuff split-shipped? Will people getting more than the basic items be waiting until July or September 2015 to get their stuff? Best to work this stuff out now - realistically and not optimistically and be upfront with how long these things will take. I'd hate to pledge $300 on face value hoping to assemble and paint these guys this Christmas to find them delayed for 6-8 months - meaning they might become something I have time to work on next Christmas (which is when I get a lot of time off and can work on bigger projects) - if I can muster the enthusiasm.

And please non-Kromlech guys - no excited-backer assurances. You know I'm a fan of Polish resin - especially these guys and Kromlech - I'd just rather see what Przemek and co have to say on it.

At this point you can increase pledge level anytime during the campaign. But I guess you are asking whether we will use service like BackerKit etc, right? If there will be a need we will use something like that, but I think with current bullets system and onine form the system might prove flexible enough to cope with such issues.
 Azazelx wrote:

Really? Care to explain (no hard feelings here)?
From my point it is clean and elegant solution. We won't have to check 2 separate spreadsheets to see whether correct amount has been sent, won't have to struggle with additional exchange rates and it keeps everyone on the same page. It simply removes additional layer of a complexity that is not needed. Everything is contained within single and simple system. And c'mon with almost 1:1 bullets to usd exchange ratio it is not difficult to figure out the cost, is it ?
 Azazelx wrote:

Check the updates - we are gradually revealing new items. Hey, IT HAS BEEN ONLY 3 DAYS!!! (awesome, but still ). We simply can't show everything in one go. Even if I put pains of assembling such reveal aside, if we had done something like that we might end up talking about the weather in the updates .
 Azazelx wrote:

4) December 2014?

Optimistic? Yes. Unrealistic? No. With production molds for basic units done it seems within our grasp. With high demand or some unforeseeable (at this point) obstacles it may turn out impossible to send all in Dec, but at least portion of orders should get sent in Dec. I know it is ambitious goal, but mind we will earn $$$ thx to this campaign only if we manage it efficiently.

I think what Azazelx is asking is whether we will be able to add cash AFTER the KS campaign has finished

by using paypal or credit cards during the pledge manager process (what ever method you choose to use)

some people will not be able to commit (a lot of) cash during the KS, but might have it to spare in a couple of months time,

others will prefer to not spend as much as they want to now but will If they know they can't add more cash later

(as a lot of KS project creators do allow people to add more cash post KS backers will assume they can unless you explicitly say they can't)

Orlando is correct on the Pledge Manager thing.

As for the bullets - it's a nightmare, and if I weren't such a fan of your work, I wouldn't give the campaign a second look. If I need to use calculator to work out how much I have to spend, then there's a fundamental flaw.

Points are based on $USD, but the campaign is in GBP, but the points are also based on those, and I use $AUD, which will be converted into GBP, so I don't even know how many points, say, a 50GBP pledge would get me, since I don't know if you'll use the $USD exchange rate for my pledge or just flat GBP, and then I need to work out how many, then work out what I want, then subtract more "bullets" at I'm not sure which exchange rate from my pledge, or add them...

As far as stretch goal renders, I'm talking about those that are already unlocked, and perhaps 1-2 of the next ones. Not everything that's planned for the campaign.

For (December) delivery - sure, I'm sure that you could ship the early stuff, but are things like The Plane ready to be produced? Because if they need to be designed/sculpted/etc, then I fear we're looking at March/June/September/etc... and if the campaign really takes off, December 2015, or into 2016? Why would I say such things? These concerns are coming from experience with campaigns that blew up and did gangbusters levels of success. Yours is headed that way, too with more than 200% funded on day 3? 4?

Loving the Harleys. Hopefully they will be big enough to mount the Maxmini Badass Orc Biker, because I like them a lot more than the bike he comes with.

Curious about what weapons the Jeep will have. If it comes with bazookas, I feel it may be a big seller.

@Azazelx: there will be a time after the campaign to tweak the pledge.
As for renders - no worries they'll come up with time. My PC is close to frying up .

Oh, and let me get back to you in the evening, I think I have something that will help you with calculating the pledge .

We're close to unlocking Biped Tanks - here's a small encouragement:

overall design looks good but I have a question about the feet/legs of the first biped walker. is it supposed to move with the tread portion simialer to the pixar charter Walle. or dose it move like a human? if it's using the treads for locomotion they don't appear to be functioning they don't make a complete loop. Personally I would love the treads to be the primary method of locomotion with the legs only being used to traverse difficult obsticals and raise lower the main armament.

the idea was slightly different - in general we are trying to show that a lot of this equipment is rather happily bodged together. So in this instance various parts from tank were used to create walker, with tank tracks used as a soles.

With regards to size.. Are you planning on having those tanks come closer to kan, dred, or naught size?

Not will they be in each size - which do you think they'll be closest to? Also, for the record, I got the whole "tracks as soles, not functional tracks" thing when I looked at the first one. So at least some pick will be picking up what you're putting down.

I was hoping to stay out of this kickstarter since Orks aren't really my thing. But, then you had to go and show off those Vert-Tanks. Depending on how big they are, I might actually have to throw down for one. I hope you guys are planning some Russian and German ones for sometime after the Kickstarter.

Personally, I hope you don't make them look too cobbled together/orky. They look like they'd have nice cross usage with other Weird War settings.
