I'm going to set to work modifying a Baneblade but I'm going to need som rivets. Anyone got a good lead on where I can purchase some small pre-fab rivets for this project?

One of them filthy casuals...

One idea is to use flat-headed sewing pins. Drill a very small hole (same size used when pinning), put a dab of glue and quickly slide the pin in, and then clip off the tail of the pin.

Unfortunately this wastes a lot of pin tails. Maybe you can use them for pinning after you clip off the sharp ends. Also, this looks better when dealing with thicker plates, but you're working on a Baneblade, so it might work out.

You can also use the water filter bead trick or the other nail art bead trick (not the half dome one)

They are roughly a match to most imperial rivets.

edit:VVVVV those stuff. 5 bucks and you could rivet your entire house

I use microbeads quite happily. Probably the same stuff as the nail art beads, except I found mine in the scrapbooking section at Michaels. Couple of bucks for a jar and I'd have to rivet full-time for a year to use all of the buggers. Put about 250 on one side skirt of a Malcodor scratchbuild and didn't even make a noticeable dent in the jar.

Hobby Link Japan has various types of rivets, boltheads and suchlike, usually from Adler's Nest. IDK if it may be a European firm.

Here is what I use. There are even deals to get 4x's this amount for slightly less, also on Amazon. And there are US retailers if you dont want to deal with the delay from China. US sellers are typically about 25 cents more than the chinese.

There are 10 types of people in this world; those that know binary and those that dont.
