Looks interesting, especially how vehicles work. Looking forward to when they unveil how Orks fight, cause I'm definitely going as one of the boyz in a scrum.

Here's your choppa.

Here's your slugga.

See those beakie boyz? GET EM!

I wonder if they'll do a morale mechanic or something, huge ork hordes being hard to shift and all that.

Now I just wonder if they'll have grot riggers, because now we need DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA being yelled out in squealing voices.

Possibly, given that they've already shown a form of pinning from suppressive weapons, and having a form of Mob Rule buff depending on how many Orks are around you to buff speed/resilience would be a cool way to offset our lack of armour. What'd be even cooler is if the grotz would also react by trying to shank or try to shoot their blastas as any nearby Marine trying to crack it open with things like krak grenades. Hell, it'd be even more awesome if Ork players who were inside a transport could spawn as the Grotz who fly out of the explosion when it does blow up.

..Now I'm imagining a trukk that you can fill with grots as a special wargear or something, and then send them out as a horde, like some sort of grot-prodder, pity that would be something post launch I imagine.

Indeed, but the Orky possibilities are endless! I could easily see one of the Ork objectives/campaigns being focussed around gathering enough loot from specific points on the planet to build something massive pulsa rokkit to crush the main Hive of the Imperials. If it's true that this game will be reflective of the faction's progress it would jaw-dropping to see it launched and see the earthquakes and apocalyptic mushroom cloud that would ensue. It's more likely they'll opt for the end goal of building a Gargant or Stompa though IMO.

on the forum. Obviously

That's an autocannon, not a lascannon.
I am disappoint.

To be serious, it does look promising. Looks sort of like a 3rd person planetside, which is nice.
Lets hope it's actually optimized and doesn't slow to a crawl.

Looks good so far, but it's a shame Angry Joe is the guy doing the commentary, he's a tool.

That said, I want my 40k mmo NAO.

I have all the time in the world for Joe, and I know it's in super-duper-pre-pre-pre-pre-Alpha... but that was some boring gak. It was cool seeing the base and the Quad-Guns and other little details, but man... this game looks so tedious. I really do hope that the basic core combat improves.

I was not too hopeful for this game until I watched Angry Joe ' s videos and heard the developers passion for 40k. This game is in the right hands and I am now stoked for it.

Yeah, this will be a good one. Angry Joe isn't one to mindlesly push stuff either, if he is displeased with what he sees, he'll be the first one to post a detailed video why.

I watched this at the time but I'm very skeptical of the success of this game. The dev team has a spotty history, GWs busines smodel has been getting worse and has already been seen to negatively impact this game and ... I don't think they have the capability to pull off a good large scale combat.

If you want a good 40k action MMO, you'd probably need to license PS2 from SOE and re-do the factions to be 40k. All the netcode, client and combat functionality is int here and far more polished than this dev could do, it would just need sound, art assets and balancing.

I still feel sorry for him when I watch his Space Marine hype video.

The game was good but not as good as he hoped.

Actually it was pretty good, I wouldn't call it top ten but it was fun and pretty much got plenty of gameplay down.

It was good game. Flashy Space Marine action. 7/10, -1 for the terrible ending.

Yeah, his Destiny video is a testament to that...
I really hope this game turns out well, I just hope that the developers get enough crowd funding to stave off the bigger producers. I can envision the movement (which I hope they fix up) combined with big stretches of ground to run over putting me off a little though.
Also, the huge battles rumoured of might be a bit difficult to master. But if they do, oh boy...
