I run Mono-khorne. As a result, my basing and modelling techniques involve a preponderance towards gluing skulls to things, but I'm always running out. Other chaos players at my FLGS use other units usually and, pun intended, throw me a bone every once in a while, but then I google conversions for khornate things, or browse CMON and the Dakka gallery, and people model converted champions and HQs literally sitting on a pile of skulls taller than the mini. Where are all these skulls coming from?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

This Is Where the Fish Lives

Secret Weapon Miniatures sells what is called the "Sack O' Skulls":

I have the old metal ones and they're quite nice.

They also offer "Bone Fields" resin bases as well.

You can purchase them in bulk from bitz manufacturers.

Here's a pack of 100 for $16. I bet you could find resin or plastic even cheaper with a bit of digging online.

They also make bases with skulls already on them.

I learned to cast them.

Even something as simple as pushing a skull glued to stick into plastecine clay, and then pouring plaster into it, is more than sufficient for bases.

Push base into clay as a guide.
Remove base and push skull into clay repeatedly, over what will be the top surface of the base.
Pour plaster/resin into the mold you just created, and eel off the clay once it hardens.
You just created a one of a kind skull covered base, that the skulls wont fall off

Oyumaru
GS/milliput

Oyumaru is like £5 or something
then your materials of GS and milliput are probably like another £6
With that you could make like over 9000 skulls.

Basically take a skull (you'd need 1), you push it into the oyumaru, wait like 2 mins, pull it free, press your GS/milliput into the mould wait for the milliput to dry, pull it out and your done!.
The oyumaru would allow you to make well over 20+ at a time, which means you can pretty much make them on a per model basis and have as many as you like.

All the helms in this cloak are press moulds and casts I did (so i could make the back side flat easily before adding the fur trim).

@Solar Shock:

What kit is the helmet on the bottom right of the cape from? It's the one with the single line for the face vent, immediately beneath the grey knight helm and to the right of the CSM helm, above what looks like the back of a necron head at the bottom.

Thanks!
