Hey all, I'm painting up my first Infinity models and need to know what type of primer I should be using. I'm located in Canada if that makes a significant difference in which brand I should choose.

Thanks!

I use Rustoleum 2x Ultracover Flat White. Works well for how I paint because I think the white primer helps make the models brighter and forces me to have a neater paintjob because white stands out so much.

It depends, we talking airbrush or regular canned air primers, but yes Rustoleum works fine for canned air.

Me too, works great.

Bob Ross' black Gesso. Comes in a large plastic bottle. You brush it on and let it sit for a couple hours.

I've primed at least a hundred models and used maybe a third of the bottle. (Of course, I prime only in black though.)

I don't think I could ever prime an Infinity model black. Details are hard enough to see when priming grey.

I buy cheap A$$ flat black from walmart.. it has never let me down!

I use fiat black then zenithal with grey primer & then flat white all the cheap stuff from Wal-Mart. Prepares them well for airbrushing.

Have you painted minis before?
Whereabouts in Canada are you? Humidity, and temperature are definitely a concern if you plan to spray prime.

Yeah The only model I've painted for infinity so far I primed black. I had to give it a very light dry brush on it to bring details out
