Hello all so I'm working on building up some Grey Knights - initially I wanted them as allies for my Tau (which is a hard one to fluff, but I think is fun) but I also want to be able to run them effectively alone or with a small allied force. This list is strictly Grey Knights however - including all of the models I have currently equipped WYSIWYG - I can't imagine magnetizing the marines but I am going to do that for the NDK. [1600] Librarian : ML 3, Daemon Hammer, Liber Daemonica Purifiers : KotF(Falchions, Teleport Homer) 10x Falchions, 2 Hammers, 2 Incinerators) [-combat squad and go into Landraider-] Purifiers : KotF(Warding Stave, Teleport Homer) 1 Halberd, 1 Hammer, 2 Psycannons Dedicated Transport Rhino w/ Dozer Blade 2 x 5 Terminators : 1 Hammer, 4x Falchions, 2 Halberds [1 w/ Psycannon] Land Raider Crusader w/ Lascannons & Multimelta Nemesis Dreadknight : PT, Heavy Psycannon, Heavy Incinerator So this is the list I've made for the models I have. I think it looks pretty good and I feel like alone it's probably not immensely strong but would make a nice allied force (which is probably how I would play them until I get a small allied detatchment established) I'm thinking Inquisition for the fluff and the cool models but I also like the idea of giving Sanctuary to TH/SS allied terminators. What do you think? What should my next move be with this list? I'm fairly certain I will be picking up at least one other NDK for sure.

I'm only just starting a grey Knights list myself so this is a pretty uneducated response.. but I'd think about dropping the hammer on the libby and giving the terminators another psycannon.
Who goes in the land raider?
why take two teleport homers?

Well I was thinking I would combat squad the larger unit into the landraider so I can drop one off at an objective and if needed they could be reinforced by a unit of Terms. The smaller team of purifiers would push forward in the rhino shooting out of the hatches and if needed could also be reinforced by the terms. I might play conservatively with the dread knight as I only have one but he could be used to shunt-reinforce areas.
Too few units? These are really the most models I have right now so I'd take suggestions on what to go with next or perhaps if I should change up my current set up? I feel like falchions are a must now and I feel they make GK very scary.

Having the warding stave on the libby is actually really useful as it gives you a 1+ to your deny the witch ie deny on a 4.

First I would turn 5 of your terminators into paladins for some extra survivability. I would run this as a nemesis strike force. Put the dread knight, paladins and the librarian, as well as the terminators into deep striking reserves and have them come in on turn 1, dropping the dread knight, paladins and Libby into the enemy backfield and the terminators onto an objective if there is one. Put your combat squaded purifiers into the crusader and run the raider as a heavy support choice. Run this and the rhino full of purifiers up the field towards the enemy. Use the extra landraider as a tank or monster hunter and leave it empty. Basically use this as an alpha strike force. The list I provided is exactly 1850.

Wow great advice - I think this would fill out my list nicely - I don't have a secondary LR but I like the idea of having two. I think as points go up I'll be adding in another NDK as well.
One question though you mentioned A rhino? is that included in the costs here?
I haven't considered taking the warding staff because I was afraid of losing the ap3 but it might well be worth it due to the amount of psykers I may deal with. Also glad you fit the paladins into this list - especially since they'll be body guarding the librarian.

No the Rhino isn't. But you can fit it in by dropping the multimelta and the relic off of the librarian. It isn't as potent but it would still be effective. In all honesty I don't pull my knights out for a game less than 2000. Not that I'm a snob or anything, it is just that below that number it is hard to field a competitive list simply due to model count. If you the are shooting to fill it out to 2000 add another DK. In smaller games I like to run two NDKs and outfit them with sword, teleporter, and incinerator. At str 6 ap 4 you will instakill all geq on 2+, and it's torrent. They are 190 with that kit. Use the other 60 points to add back the relic and multimelta back and add melta bombs to the paladins, terminators and all 3 purifier squads. It is really the only solid anti tank option besides daemon hammers we have.
