I have minis with ccw/laspistol, but cannot find any rules to field them with the Astra Militarum Codex.

Is there any way to play guardsmen with laspistol/close combat weapons in 7th ed?

Allies? Chaos cultists allies? SoB allies?

Acolytes in a Henchmen Warband from Codex: Inquisition. They come stock with normal human stats (ie 3s all round, but Ld8), Flak Armour, Laspistol and Chainsword. For a bargain price of 4pts (!) each. There are also a number of upgrade options for them, from giving them Bolters or Hotshot Lasguns to Carapace or Power Armour. 3 of them can also take Special Weapons (ie Plasma, Melta, Flamers, Power Weapons etc). You can even give them Power Fists and Storm Shields...

An Inquisitorial Detachment requires 1 HQ and 0-3 Elites. You can take 3-12 models in a Henchmen Warband (which is an Elite), and take an Inquisitor of your flavour to fill your HQ and make the Detachment Battle Forged. Inquisitors start at 25pts bare minimum (Carapace, Bolt Pistol, Chainsword and grenades), but have tons of upgrade options.

The FW army list Renegades and Heretics has a rule called Mix Weapons which allows the entire squad equipped with ccw/laspistol for renegade militia guardsmen.

Chaos Cultists are perfect ways to play them.

The lasgun is roughly the equivalent of the autogun; and laspistol that of the autopistol.

Cultists are armed with either autoguns or autopistols and ccw.

IMO I dont get all the Chaos players whining about lack of renegade guard when you can easily buy IG Guardsmen boxes and field them as Cultists - cultists don't always have to be spiky and wearing tattered clothing and showing signs of mutation, you know.

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

IG/AM platoon/company command squads use a pistol/CCW combo IIRC

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

I think Chaos players who want Traitor Guard want more than Cultists. We're Chaos players, we're more than used to converting, but we're not legally allowed to play Guard anymore.

The Acolytes from the Inquisition Codex gives the best option, however, they're Elite choices that way and not Objective Secured. There is a caveat that I don't remember perfectly but I think the Inquisitor Detachment has to be the main Detachment and then the Warbands become 'scoring units' which is commonly House Ruled into 'Objective Secured' if it hasn't been FAQed already.

Also gives access to 100pt Valkyries, Razorbacks and old 5-man in the top hatch Chimeras. Even Land Raiders if you so choose.

DKoK had the option if I remember. The siege list form IA? Don't remember. I think FW posted the list as a PDF download.

This. Also means you get more priests. Units max of 12 though.

Thanks guys! Quick and great answers.

Think I will go for the Acolyte henchmen as proposed GoonBandito!
