Hey guys,

Starting up an Alaitoc army and I wanted to keep it fluffy/fun without being totally useless.

All I have come up with so far is:

HQ
Illic Nightspear (140)

Troops
5x Pathfinders (125)
5x Rangers (60)

Elites
5x Striking Scorpions + Exarch w/ Claw (142)

= 467

I'm trying my best to not use Wave Serpents because I've done it before and I know it isn't fun for my friends.

I was thinking maybe War Walkers/Dire Avengers/Swooping Hawks or Warp Spiders

Would love some advice to help me choose how to go about this.

Thanks

** EDIT **

What about something like this:

HQ
Illic Nightspear (140)

Troops
5x Pathfinders (125)
5x Rangers (60)
20x Guardians + 2x Shuriken Cannon + Warlock (245)

Elites
5x Striking Scorpions + Exarch w/ Claw (142)

Fast Attack
4x Warp Spiders + Exarch w/ Rifle + Fast Shot (130)

Heavy Support
2x War Walkers w/ Bright Lances (140)

= 982

War Walkers, Swooping Hawks and Warp Spiders would all fit the theme of this list nicely. Perhaps 2 Bright Lance War Walkers and a unit of Warp Spiders. That will give you enough anti-tank for the points level and the Warp Spiders can take on many different targets, including fliers, that the rangers can't handle. If there's still points then Swooping Hawks for haywire would be nice, or more pathfinders.

Have you tried downgrading the Serpents to Falcons? It's a deliberate hit on gameplay but I still like my Falcon in an Alaitoc list. Adding a couple Jetbikes and a pair of Vypers would keep with the 'recon' element of Alaitoc but so would an Allied Detachment of Corsairs or even Dark Eldar. Outcasts of the Path raiding Imperial Space.

Sticking with Craftworld Eldar though, War Walkers of course but a Crimson Hunter would be a good addition as well. If you MUST avoid Serpents, a big blob of Guardians could fill a decent role with a Warlock. Could fill out the points with them and a Starcannon or Bright Lance led on a leash. You'd need more than ten if you're hoofing it but it can be done with Walker and Vyper support.

If you like the outcast theme you can take 3 Exodite Dragon Riders as shining spear proxies. Exodites/Alaitoc often ally.
