I've been considering on building a Bretonnian army, but after a while, few items on Games-workshop disappeared. And rumors said they will remove the army from the game.. Or others said a new edition will release..
So I don't know if I should start buying units right now before they're gone... And I'm afraid few units will be "unusable" like the old gnoblar trappers.
And if they release new sets of troops, I'm afraid they will be more expensive..

Is it normal..? I supposed its not the first time GW tries to cut some products and raises their prices.

I hope some veterans understand this situation. Because I really like their core units

They're featured HEAVILY in the nagash book so I dont think they'll go away. That said all the next books are end times, Chaos next week or so. Skaven in January, everyone else in march & a new edition in june/july is rumors are to be believed.

Even if brets go away (I don't think they will) you could still use those knights as empire knights or blood knights. I'd say go for it.

If you love the core units then buy some

Try to keep them with basic equipment though.
Core units are ones that 99% of the time stay there.

Also, with GW's trend i can see knights being cut down to sets of 5 for the same price, so i would possibly pick those up now.


Just keep things plain with common units and your safe.



I have only ever had issues when they removed bows from skinks, and i had over 100 of them painted up with bows haha.

Worst comes to worst, you can always just keep playing with the old book. People still play DOW armies and they've been discontinued for a long time.
