So...just starting this fine agme and me and my buddies are doing 25pts as a startingpoint

im torn on wether or not to do wolds or wolves...but here are the two lists im thinging of to start w/

pBaldur -6
woldwarden 9
megalith 11
shifting stones w/ stone keeper 3
shifting stones 2
sentry stone and mannikins 3
druid wilder 2

total 24

or

eKaya + laris -3
Warpwolf Stalker 10
Warpwolf Stalker 10
Gnarlhorn Satyr 8

total 25

strategy w/ the wold world army is to slowly march up the wolds...dealing damage until i can geomancy a forest down and assassin run baldur in via forest walk from the back 9 using the wilder to keep all the rocks in line and fury low

strategy w/ the big bad beast army is to wait a round..then use kayas feat...double cast bounding (once from satyr once from kaya) to send the wolves flying downfield..and then drawing them back from a threat range of 15" then try ll over agin the next turn w/ huge smash hits

so what you guys think?? any imput is helpful!!

The Shadow in the Warp looms ever closer, but the Dragon's fire shall be there to bring light in the darkness.

pBaldur assassin runs aren't as effective as you'd think, mostly because he has no way of getting out once he's gotten in, and he doesn't actually do a lot of damage. If you want to run a warlock who's going to be able to do assassinations alone Kromac (with beastform you're looking at Leap to engage and fourteen Fury to kill people with), Grayle (hits much harder once he's in, and has Side Step and Sprint to get in and out with), EBaldur (hits much harder once he's in and plays the denial game to set up a little better, plus if you've already got the rest of the force he works reasonably well with the same army), and Cassius (who wrecks people with spells and a Gallows Grove instead of beating them to death in melee) are all better choices.

Your Kaya list doesn't have a lot of the required support pieces; the Blackclad Wayfarer, Shifting Stones, and the Gorax would all let you do what you're trying to do significantly better. Consider varying your Warpwolves too, the primary advantage to the Stalker is that he's a useful general-purpose beast that doesn't require a lot of support, depending on your opponent swapping one for a Feral or a Pureblood would let you deal with different targets more effectively.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Depends on whether you want them to be your friends any more or not lol. Ekaya will make them hate you forever. P baldur seems pretty cool though.
