It doesn't look like it is part of the original model. The two arms holding it don't match. My guess would be an old Warzone weapon, maybe something from Kromlech's past.

Fascinating, I've never seen it before either and I own a bunch of those guys.

Afaik these were the only weapons produced for those kits, I maybe wrong however but it certainly looks very strange.
