So, I was wondering. If they're doing End Times releases for Nurgle, do we think they'll do them for the other gods?

I don't think many of the other gods will get much if anything!

I think we won't see more End Times Chaos releases after this one. Maybe in book 4, but I highly doubt it.

Skaven'll be next.

I was really hoping for more of the gods to appear in the end times, as much as I'm down with Papa Nurgle I would like to see more of the other gods.

As far as the WoC army book goes, only Tzeentch doesn't have a specific unit of his own, and Viltich is pretty poor too.

I think it will be Elves or Humanity next - then they can shrink the army books into

Undead (Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts, others)
Chaos (Beast, Daemons, Warriors)
Humnity (Empire, Bretonia, others)
Elves (Dark, Wood, High)
Dwarves
Orcs and Goblins

Might be some more Chaos characters in the other End Times books like there was in the first?

The other Gods will only get yet another epic shaft from GW...
Tzeentch seriously needs the most love right now, but nope, we gotta give Nurgle even more crap because clearly he's not the clear cut overall best choice yet.

As a Tzeentch player, I find this 100% 'Nurgle only' release to be a massive slap in the face.

I'll honestly be amazed if we see the plastic Greaters before the Rio games in 2016...

Except they haven't "shrunk the army books".
They made it so that players actually can buy more books to field units from a single army.

What you might end up seeing? A triumvirate of faction combinations

Chaos Legions(which isn't entirely confirmed to be what people are hoping for but most likely will be)
Undead Legions
The Grand Alliance(High Elves, Dwarves, Bretonnia, and Empire)

The remaining forces are not really great at playing nice.

Tzeentch has always been the eternally screwed over Chaos God... We had our brief moment of glory with the broken Flamers & OP MoS Tzheralds in early 8th. Now it appears we need to bend over for another 15 years or so.

Why are people pissed off about the combo books? They already have the same kinda things with allies and stuff, all this does is give you a more uniform version of it.

no. Less army books equals less 40 euro books which equals less,money for gw.good idea(for us)

Dwarfs where in the book the king of slayers marched out fought some beastmen and malagor was scared he would get in trouble with the dark gods and they ran away. Dwarfs lost to many peeps and went home to shut their doors like the other dwarfs said they are doing.

So hate to say this but I don't think dwarf/beastmen will get any important roles in end times like a book or new special character

oh you poor quarter of a single army. Tzeentch in all likelyhood got pages then the entire hobbit this year.

The Hobbit has treated my army very nicely, thank you.

My Deepwood Scouts, Eternal Guard and Waywatchers are very pretty models.

Because game balance. Look no further than 40k to see how gak allies are. All youll see is the best units of both armies or stupid combs like hiertotitan ples m9rtis engine giving my lvl 4 a +7-+9 to cast.

You cant balnce allies especially when the books arent released anywhere near together there are too many combos and there going to be special rules that on their own are fine but combined together are just 10 kinds of broken.

I'm not sure, but I do think the first end-times book did a better use of combining armies than the 40k allies does.

I hope that all the amries will be in either an end-times book, or a 'Great Hope' book. Maybe the evil races will be end-times, but the next book will be a 'Great Hope' book which sees the forces of good rise up to protect their lands.

Then when 9th comes out, there is NO allies system.

The system in place right now works great. It simple and makes sense.

The time it would take to full release new stuff for all four gods would really push back 9th ed (and all the other End Times sets for the other armies), it would most likely bring about a power creep for the next few months where Chaos rules all. Papa Nurgle is a fan favorite, they know Nurgle will sell, so he was chosen. It's pretty unfortunate, I was hoping for Khorne to become viable again and to see some new Tzeentch stuff. Maybe they'll be a few small releases for the other gods after some of the other books, but it's doubtful.

EDIT: The beastmen one click bundle for the nurgle release looks like a teaser to me, though. Time will tell.

b) rampaging across the Dark Elf lands at will

Here's the thing. Nurgle's only 'popular' in 40k because of +1 toughness... I don't do WoC, but I thought Tzeentch sword and boarders were thought quite highly of.

mathmatically nurgle's -1 to hit with sword and board is better then the 6++

namiel, it's a 5++. I think nurgle still wins but Tzeentch gives a +1 to their 6++ parry making it a 5++. So tzeentch warriors are 3+/5++ in CC to the front.

they get a +1 to the ward save which in a specific instance can be tacked onto a parry save. The MoT gets a 6++ on warriors
